Greetings everyone,
It's time for our 2nd Annual CalCoastal-NSXPrime Canyon Drive!!! If you missed last years drive, join us in the fun time and you can place faces to all the screen names on the boards. The day will begin somewhere in Ventura County(location TBA) in the morning. Lunch will follow with a raffle. Driving and then more driving, and then more. The day will end with dinner(catered or restaurant)somewhere in or around Malibu. The vagueness of the times/locations/routes will not be public info, as not to attract law inforcement and or party crashers. Routes will be given out upon arrival to the drive. When Craig reads this, he is duly elected to do a write up and posting of the event

. It looks like the Sundays of May 19th or June 2nd are the choices(E3?). I am open to anyone(you will be 3rd in line after Craig and Marc W.) who would like to help with stuff that makes this a well organized event. Online sign ups are soon to follow!
Take care,
John Richards

John,

I'm in!!! As for the dates, particularly regarding E3, June 2nd would be better. E3 is the week following May 19th, and I'll be slammed trying to get our product ready for the show.

YEAH BABY!!!

You know im there!! June 2nd will be great. Sounds like we will have an insanely cool reserved outdoor seating Italian alfresco lunch set up.

I think it might be a good idea this year to split into two driving groups – the “experienced” group – a.k.a. the regular canyon carvers (and guys running A032’s – you know who you are!

, and the “newbies” or the guys who really want to take in the scenery if you know what I mean. We can split up the groups by just 5-10 minutes at the rest stops.

If it's June 2, count me in! (If it's in May.. not likely I could make it with E3 and moving into our first house!)

See ya'all there!

John has drafted me to do the sign-up sheets which we will have online soon. We will also do t-shirts again this year. We hope to be able to get each participant’s nsxprime handle and avatar picture on the front pocket of their t-shirt. We are thinking of also printing everyone’s handle, name and avatar out with a color laserjet to put inside their rear hatch for the event much like we did the racing numbers for the CalCoastal Autocross last month. Because of this and to avoid overcrowding on the drive, sign-ups will be taken on a first come-first served (first paid-up) basis far in advance of the event and be strictly limited, so stay tuned to this thread for when the entry form will be released.

Don't forget that third group of people that have no choice but to take in the scenery because they're lost.

lunch stop, and an optional dinner stop in the
evening. In consideration of receiving permission from
the organizers of this Event to participate, the

and/or undulating scenic country or other public
roads, and hereby elects voluntarily to enter this
Event(while being drug and alcohol free), knowing their present condition and knowing
that said condition may become more hazardous and
dangerous during the time that any of the undersigned

my favorite part is the twisty, nasty, narrow, wet, slippery, dusty, sandy
and/or undulating scenic country or other public roads
