2022 NSX Type S Registry

Did the lightweight package not include the CF gauge cluster cover?
Yes it did. You could get it one of two ways: the lightweight package or the "Carbon Fiber Interior Sport Package" for $2500.00. that said, there are reports that at some point, regardless of what was ordered, the CF gauge cluster cover faced supply chain issues and the Alcantara version was substituted.

Car number #047, 19UNC1B0XNY000047 is now up for sale after traveling 1954 (taken from dash photo) miles at Stevenson Hendrick Mazda Wilmington for $249,988. Wrapped in Berlina Black paint with an ebony Alcantara interior. Similar to many other recent listings, this car also has iron rotors. Calipers are Red that nicely contrast against the Berlina Black Gloss wheels. So, it seems, those that appear to buy a Type S for investment/flip have done their best to keep costs low but avoiding the lightweight option or even in most cases upgrade paints. Again, pictures will be posted as soon as they become available. Update: Pictures located and a couple of new ones from a recent March 2022, listing.

as was mentioned the Carbon supplier for the binnacle cover crapped out..I don't know at what number they ran out..My LW#262 has alcantara ...

Price drops happening across the board today:

Gotham Gray Matt, 19UNC1B0XNY000193 with 913 miles dropped $5,004 to $254,995
Berlina Black, 19UNC1B06NY000109 with 1,038 miles dropped $2,000 to $257,900
Indy Yellow Pearl, 19UNC1B03NY000245 with 1,134 miles dropped $4,500 to $264,500
Curva Red, 19UNC1B03NY000228 with 512 miles dropped $5,000 to $260,000
Long Beach Blue Pearl,19UNC1B0XNY000288 with 51 miles dropped $790 to $263,900

Long Beach Blue Pearl, 19UNC1B07NY000149 with 87 miles was just reposted today at $259,000 from its original listing of $299,999, a $40K drop. This is being sold by a private seller. It also has the lightweight package and ebony leather interior and Matte Shark Gray wheels.

Hopefully, prospective buyers know the difference between the options such as lightweight package and their associated costs because the pricing is not reflecting the options on a car. Take for example, car #193 above has a $6000 paint and $13,000 lightweight options and is the cheapest of the bunch vs cars with iron rotors and standard paints.

Options often don't hold their value. If you don't need/want the option, it has 0 value. I'd rather have a car in the color that I want (even if it was a free color) than a $6000 color that I don't want.

I'm wondering if the second hand take rate on the gotham might be lower due to the rather fastidious requirements for care..
It is hard to keep looking good.

It's certainly possible (LOL, don't forget this is the car with ORANGE calipers). I had a matte Suzuka Grey supercar for about 6 years from new. Day one I got it wrapped in a clear matte finish. Of all my cars it was by far the easiest to take care of. Washing was a breeze. But it did stain on the lower sides of the car, especially behind the wheels. Most of them came out with soap. Cant use polish for obvious reasons. I don't normally favor matte finishes because most of the time they give the look of raw primer to me, not an appearance I prefer on my cars.

Hmmm, dont think I ever posted pictures of car #149, 19UNC1B07NY000149. For completeness here it is showing the lovely Long Beach Blue Pearl, wrapped in full ebony leather, optioned with Matte Shark Gray wheels, black calipers, the lightweight package and the XM radio.

we have another new listing today. The winner is car #255, 19UNC1B06NY000255. This beauty is finished in the Gotham Gray Metallic Matte color with the red Alcantara interior. This car was produced on 10/22 and has only traveled 3 miles on its Berlina Black Gloss rims accented by red calipers. Performance has been enhanced with the selection of the lightweight package. For those that loves XM radio, it has the eye-catching roof antenna. :LOL:The original MSRP was $192,495. It is now for sale at Gas Motors Cars for $299,979.

Had some extra time on my hands today and decided to poke the internet to see if I can find some information on the 30 cars allocated for Japan. I believe the chassis numbers (aka VIN for Japan) range from NC1-1500001 to NC1-1500030. Of this list, I've already confirmed from several YouTube videos numbers NC1-1500023 to NC1-1500030 (see listings at the bottom of the Prime Library "NSX Type-S Tracker" page). Here's where I've been at over the last couple of months. Still not finding any online social media that exposes the production number or the VINs. I find cars and nice photos but that's about it. There are a couple of online Japanese "chassis number" lookup services but they want lots of dollars to get the basic information we need for the tracker. However, I found two services that showed a date I suspect is when they received in Japan and whether the chassis number was valid. I ran through all of them and got the following data:

For reference, the video shows NC1-1500023 to 30 by the transport company delivering cars from PMC to the overseas shipper. I am going to assume it was by boat. The date of that video posting was the first week of Aug. 2022. It appears there may have been 3 separate shipments to Japan to fulfill the orders.

Listed just this morning is car #164, 19UNC1B03NY000164 at Hiley Acura of Fort Worth, Texas. No pictures yet but I'll post as soon as they are available. This car was sold new from the very same dealership. It's noted to have only 5 miles on the clock. Finished in Long Beach Blue Pearl. It is the 5th LBBP car listed available on the market today. This one has the distinction of being optioned with the contrasting Orchid Alcantara interior. It is fully loaded with all options including the lightweight package, red calipers, Berlina Black Gloss wheels and the ever-popular XM radio. As a side node (more controversial one), I find it unusual this car has only 5 miles and is now being openly sold at the same originating dealership 7 months after delivery. "Detailed Pricing" is shown as $187,495 and equates to the MSRP. AMV has to be around $60K. Hmmmm. Pricing was just posted at $275,000 (so I was wrong the AMV is $87,505!)

I'm surprised we don't see more of these straight forward dealer owner/gm flips..

I had to sign a paper that stated I wouldn't sell mine for 2 years. I'd never sell it anyways.

Here's a different listing that showed up today at European Exotic Center in Tampa, Florida. This particular Type S is car number #238, 19UNC1B06NY000238, is painted in Berlina Black Gloss but wrapped in a matte PPF. This is the first car to come to market with aftermarket wheels by Vossen (they look like model HF-5s) shoed with 24530ZR20 upfront and 32525ZR21 in the rear. The lightweight package was optioned with black calipers. Interior is ebony in full leather. And the XM radio option was included. The first owner covered 1,447 miles since new. Price is $259,995. Photos by European Exotic Center and Reed Miller.

Another LBBP has come to market this morning. Car number #223, 19UNC1B04NY000223 has been listed at a new marketplace, Hagerty, by a private seller. The current owner has appeared to only travel directly from the dealership to his garage given the odometer now sits at 4 miles. This is only one of 2 cars I've seen for sale by private owners. The interior is Orchid Alcantara. This one is optioned with the lightweight package with black calipers, Berlina Black Gloss wheels, alcantara binnacle and XM radio. Price is set at $239,500 and the most competitive on the market by about $20,000 regardless of the options.

#223 seems to have been picked up and now is available from Resmo in Mountain View California. Mileage remains at 4 miles but price is now up to $275,000 (2/26/23).

Whoa another LBBP for sale at yet another McLaren dealership. McLaren Charlotte of North Carolina has car #170, 19UNC1B09NY000170. The pictures are nice and saturated allowing one to see a pleasing view of the paint. This car has my favorite color combination for Long Beach Blue Pearl. Silver calipers with Shark Gray Matte wheels. In addition, it has the lightweight package and ebony Alcantara interior. The owner even splurged for the lighted NSX door sills (see pic below). Odometer is shown with 183 miles. Price is set at $259, 996. (Side note this car was previously for sale on eBay by Carporium for $279,99)

there's an embedded link on "Hagerty". It's a private listing rather than an auction. This car was previously listed on eBay. Based on my notes this was back in Nov '22 time frame. I checked the link, its still good and showing #223.
