Why must you all 'chat' w/ a pre-teen having an online fantasy or an obvious imposter?

haha, i was about to say....

The reason that some people on this thread think that you are not for real is that your first post is somewhat strange.
It’s strange because anyone who had the capability of importing a type R would have to have done a lot of work in terms of figuring out the many legal hurdles necessary to make this dream a reality. As someone mentioned to our knowledge, it’s never been attempted in the USA. Consider the many people on this site with enough money to own not only an NSX but other exotics too. That should give you a clue as to how non trivial an undertaking it would be. All this coupled with the fact that you don’t seem to understand some very basic stuff like why it would not be a good idea to mod such a car and asking about rust on an all aluminum car. And asking such basic questions like, what’s the fuel consumption like. Also you seem to be ignoring questions like where are you based etc. All this leads us to believe that you are a 16 year old kid having an online fantasy.
It’s like someone saying that they are going to climb K2 and then asking for directions on how to get there.
If we are correct then please feel free to lurk but stop wasting peoples time by asking stupid questions
However if we are mistaken, please prove us wrong and make it happen and send pictures of you with your NSX type R
Then I would be very happy to apologize.

Regards,

Patrick

Yeah man, I was at K2 too but now I can't even find it in the map. Last time I went, I drove my imported Type-R to Squaw Valley USA, then I bought a lift ticket for $68 and rode the chair up to K2. It sure beats paying $1000 for a climbing permit and have to haul all the equipment and food. People even have to bring their own oxygen. Bringing oxygen!!?? I did it the SMART way, hahaha! Wait, it was K22, not K2. Haha, I did 11 times better!!

I was wondering when the troll bashing was going to begin on this thread. This guys seems like he's 14 and found an old issue of super street. Total BS'r and not even amusing.

Why not buy Ryan's as its the closest thing to an NSX tastefully modded. An NSX-R is designed to be lightweight and track only imho. A type S doesn't even make a good daily driver. But a nicely modded NSX with a CTSC would. Its basically the difference between a 911 Turbo and a 911 GT3. Who would take a GT3 and add more weight to it?

Go buy a YUGO and mod it...or a "TRACK" on;y GTO:rolleyes:

I have checked the prices and it would be way smarter to tune a normal 1997NSX so thats the one i take
(RHD is totaly no problem! for me)

Because they do not make Ryan's car at 1:18 scale model. ;)

Seriously man....not to be rude, but just own up to being a young kid with some free time and a dream and call it a day....you would get more respect on here. Heck, admit to it and I will let you drive my NSX, just please stop pretending. It will get you nowhere fast.

Yep, we all started there but slightly more realistic and serious.

Not to hijack this great thread, but did Ryan ever sell his car?

I don't think so, at least not as the Type R package. I bought some of his Type R parts, so did SericalNSXer. I think Ryan is putting it back to stock so he can find a buyer.

Haha I was wondering when someone was going to catch on!! We get dreamers like these ALL the time on Supra Forums. What really had me on the floor were the crayon drawings. I'm surprised how you guys arent tearing the guy a new one. Guess the NSX crowd is the more civilized and sophisticated bunch.

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking for some time and this is my first post. I too am an aspiring NSX owner, and I too think that this thread sounds too fishy.

I commend everyone here for being very mature in dealing with this fellow, you all are extremely friendly and helpful - even with time wasters!

He said something about the price in EURO - he's in Europe somewhere?

No reason to totally destroy him....we just want him to stop pretending.

He ok. I see that my first post was not a smart one and that it was a quite stupid question.

Just for the record I am now searching for a 1997 NSX 6MT 3.2L

Sorry guys for the mess.
I will post the photo of the car when I buy it

P.S.
I am dutch

I vaguely remember Jeremy Clarkson from "Top Gear" say something odd about the dutch whilst driving a McLaren SLR...

"hello Dutchy!" :)

This thread is retarded.
