I posted in another old thread but it was not the same problem.
Last night put my HID lights on but only the passenger side would go up. Driver's side is stuck down but I can hear the motor every 5 seconds. I took the cap off the motor and it does turn. I tried using the high beams, the driver's side light still stays down.
I can play with that headlight and move it freely without resistance. Very few older threads seemed to have covered this. Is the linkage broken or maybe the motor?
Where do i start?

Fixed it. The retracting rod to move the headlight up fell off. Luckily, it was still there and I used pliers to clip it back on.
