you are 100 percent right - power is not everything... but its a sports car - and truth be told, should have come with a super or turbo charger. The X has always been underpowered IMHO.
isn't there a law that states that you must continue to make parts for 14-15 years after the last production for the used car market? I'm not sure but I think I read that somewhere a while back.
Since the NSX is mostly the same 91-05 with relatively small changes, I would think we should be...
I've always been told you need to make sure that a car doesn't have too many miles, but also not too few. Cars don't do well if they are not driven supposedly.
Then again, I got a lower milage 97 (36k miles) which is not as used as it should have been. In retrospect I wonder if I should...
I was also always under the impression that the NSX was supposed to be a low production car. Not just the hand built reason though....
Anytime a car manufacturer makes a halo car, and sells it for less than it costs to produce its obvious they do not want to make a lot of them. Just enough to...
I have been looking into turbos for a while... even took a ride in one. Turbo lag is not such a problem with these newer turbos out there. 15k is a little misleading because the turbo would only be like 8-9k, but then you need other parts like a new clutch that can handle that much power...
So I sold my boat! what do they say about the two best days of boat ownership, the day you buy it and the day you sell it!
Now Ive got some extra scratch I didnt plan on having... I think its time to save up for a turbo. It will kinda be like a new car... sorta
Im pretty sure our cars with a...
I had no idea I would drive my car so much when I got it. I thought to myself that I would only drive on perfect days. So far, I have enjoyed the car in the rain, got caught in the snow (no salt), and love the fact I don't baby it too much.
I got pulled over the other day and the cop said...
Are you going to get forced induction or stock? Hard to go from those cars back to NSX speed IMHO.
I will ever be able to own an F car, would be nice, but I need something reliable, I don't see myself ever being okay with a 13k clutch job. LOL
Glad you are back
Jason
Quick question about availability of parts in general -
Are all the parts already in the US, or do they still make them and ship over from Japan?
Obviously, there might be a slight delay due to Tsunami / nuclear disaster and all. :frown:
I just wan't sure if all the parts are already made...
I found a lost solution for that noise you mentioned... its cheaper than going to an independent mechanic like Tim suggested, and really does not require any special tools or parts.
Ive found that if you just get some ear plugs, all those noises go away! For like 15 cents you can run your car...
Does anyone else feel like you've been dating this girl for a long time, and its waaaay overdue for a "sleepover" but all you get is teased with some 1st base action with all this "hokey pokey" promises of a new NSX?
Honda, sh*t or get off the pot, this is getting really old. I sold my boat on...
When my 02 sensor failed I too had the TCS light and the CEL. My code was different. My code actually told me it was an O2 sensor. If your says misfire that is what is happening... you have a problem with that cylinder misfiring.
Im not a mechanic, so wait for someone with more first hand...
Legacy - out of a one hit wonder... It was a great hit though! If you were honda how do you proceed against the GTR. When the NSX left the market it was the king of the Japanese hill, but with godzilla getting better and better how do you ensure you have the best?
2012 GTR - already has a...
I am too much of a hot-head not to remark about this thread. I at first was a little offended but hey, to each their own... RIGHT? I was even thought to myself "I like 0-60 times too, did I make the wrong choice", so I read on and on... and then I hear about how this guy likes to impress...
This is not a crazy theory, it is fact!
Yellow attracts bugs - probably looking for pollen! Lots of bees in the summer too.
As for the top of the bumper - my 97 does the same. I would assume there is a wake vortex behind the car that places dirt on that "shelf".

Good catch!
Actually, the only way for me to get in and out of the car is to turn sideways and then get up with my cane (until my knee and back heal). I didn't slip.
You should be a detective though! I didn't seven see that in my shot till you mentioned it!
Jason
Car didn't melt - LOL
Those tires are VERY slippery with snow.
I never intended on ever having the X in snow, like I said, it was unexpected snowfall last night. I was actually lucky, about 25 minutes after I got in the garage at home we had significant hail (pea sized up to quarter sized...
I took my car out today, weather report said "10 percent chance of light rain". Car had some dirt, so I figured I would take a drive and if it rained it would give me a chance to wipe off the dirt behind the wheels that got caked on...
I walked out the door of my friends house and what do I...
I hurt my knee and back at work in November. I was able to drive my car a few times between taking my pain pills and find getting in and out very difficult now. I cant sit for more than 10 minutes without extreme pain in any seat.
I also have suffered from sculiosis my whole life and have...
To be devils advocate - I disagree with your last sentence. The "ONLY" thing that dictates a price... nope. Lets look at some high priced items. If it were completely up to the buyers Rolex watches would sell for a lot less than they do. Sure, they sell a lot less than casio... but they set...
None of us can promise you that you will feel the same way we did, but I hope hearing some of the other experiences might put your mind at ease.
I can tell you that on my flight down to West Palm to buy mine I started feeling buyers remorse. I got there wondering how I can get out of the deal...
