The eagle landed! The NSX is safe in the garrage!

mine was super-clean and the interior was unusually good (hardly any wear on the side bolsters). However, the condition of my paint, windsheild and headlight lenses was typical for a car w/ 100 K miles. Kinda looked like the previous owner drove through sandstorms. The paint is slightly...

    Prospective owner / forum newbie

a couple thoughts: NSX prices are very good right now (if you're a buyer, that is), esp. for the '02+ cars. I think the early NA1 cars are probably pretty close to the bottom of their depreciation, that is, I don't see them going much (if any) lower. If you buy from a botique dealer like...

neither, get a winter beater and spend the rest on track time (or you can sponsor my racing career:biggrin:)

    F1 2009 megathread

Dave Despain made some good points about safety in motorsports last night. Basically, would mean an end to open-wheel racing as we know it. As badly as I feel for Massa, I think the press and governing bodies are over-reacting to this incident. It was a freak accident, just as DaMatta's...

    Comparo: M3 vs NSX

I agree w/ akira re recent styling trends except E30 is my favorite M3 and '02 plus is my favorite NSX... I saw a new 370Z last weekend, what a pig! Looks like all the Asain cars are getting fatter.

    Comparo: M3 vs NSX

My friend has an E46 M3 w/ a Stage 3 Dinan tune and is putting down some 460 hp. The car is a monster and a blast to drive on the track (although it was raining off and on so I had to be a bit tenetive w/ it). That said, I much prefer the driving position and the overall feel of the NSX...

Debating between c6 z06 and NSX part 2

Yeah, I've noticed that about Corvettes, the latest style always looks really modern and then quickly becomes dated. I don't care too much for the looks of the C6 unless it's a Z06 and has been lowered. I did see a ZR1 the other day and it is just bad-ass! As far as a classic design goes, the...

debating on buying a fairly new NSX or aused c6 z06. help me decide.

Back to the OP, I guess if you have to ask the question, you know the answer. No way the NSX will ever make more sense than a used C6 'vette. You either get it or you dont. My personal experience: Corvette, not enough soul; Elise, too much soul; NSX, just right.

debating on buying a fairly new NSX or aused c6 z06. help me decide.

1 more thing... These are 2 very different cultures: Vettes still tend to be covetted by middle-aged white males who have a strong buy-American mentality. Seems like only a small fraction of 'vettes are tracked regularly, which is quite a shame as they are very competant track machines. You...

    Wear your HANS!

Re: Sounds like fun Yeah, Franz had a good weekend, so did my buddy Tony. He found 3 seconds, I lost 3 seconds. WTF?! very frustrating... I have a theory about Road America, I think it's those killer long straights that really magnify the difference between the fastest racers...

    Wear your HANS!

Can't use a HANS (or any other head and neck restraint system) w/ stock 3-point harnesses. Need a minimium of four points, the F2000 is a 6-point harness. If you are tracking your NSX regularly and aggressively, I'd recommend getting a full-on race seat and harnesses.

Re: We want the gore !!! Final damage: $9200. Fortunately, my liability is capped at a little more than half that as I am on the infrequent crasher program. Sorry, no pic's, didn't think to take them (or any broken bits and pieces off the car as souveniers for the bar-room or office). I...
