idle would jump from 200-1000 rpm, acceleration was very rough, exhaust was sputtering all the time. when I pulled the belt off the rear head cams were completely out of wack, almost pointing opposite directions
I had a ITR previously but ended up selling. Couldnt justify owning a car that the insurance payment was more then the car payment. I pay almost 200$ less a month for the nsx then I do for the ITR insurance
all plugs are out, got the cam's locked in place and the crank at tdc right now. Working on getting the belt back on then on to final adjustment, adjustment bolt is loosened at the moment.
i'm positive the timing is jacked, you can hear it in the exhaust and its idled around 200-500 since the day I picked it up.
And yes advance, not retard, sorry about that. The only real problem I'm having right now is sighting in the rear cams to the marks, very hard to see them but a mirror...
I'm resetting the timing on my car due to the shop I paid to change the timing belt screwing it up (asked them when I picked the car up if they set the timing and the answer was "nah man the cam's didnt even move", which is utter BS but whatever)
anyhow my question is this, i know you have to...
Thanks for the input guys, I'm getting most of my info on E85 from the domestic guys here at the track. They all swear by it. But cast iron push rod carbed V8's are completely different then the nsx.
Thanks again!
I searched and couldn't find any posts relating to E85. We got a new station in town and is selling E85 for 1.50 a gallon. I've heard E85 is around 105 octane and obviously cheaper then gas, but you do burn it twice as fast (and it burns much hotter then standard gas). But I've also heard you...
I wrapped my sidemarkers in black vinyl and it looks sooo much better. You'll love it once you black them out, and you can still see the glow behind the vinyl at night.
Definatly liking this, different design, looks good. Could use some "refining" on the design thou, looks incomplete. Maybe smaller led's and more of them to give it a smoother look. Keep up the good work man!
was it 92 they changed the center console to the double door? I know i've been wanting to upgrade mine to a double door, that nsx logo gets hot in the summer and I always burn my wrist.
Did not get that piece, bought it off someone else that had it and didnt use it. I was told it was a comptech rebuilt clutch, came in a standard cardboard box, so for all I know it's an OEM clutch. The discs (plural) were brand spanking new, used housing and flywheel.
