Has anyone tried it? Does it enhance the shine? I know it eliminates Z1 and allows for quick dry time, but is it worth the 20 bucks?

Thanks

I have only used it with the Accelerator, and had no problems the only limit is a max of 5 coats in 24 hours, I did still use the z1 but you do not count it as a coat since you do not mix the accelerator in with the z1. They say the clarity is better with the acceleratorbut I do not know if it is because I have not used the Zaino without the accelerator. I can say I wass very happy with what I ended up with and I did use it.

Thanks Dave. And thanks for the "pdf" on keyless mods. Can the relay be hooked to the front running lights as well as the tail lights?

I will place an order with Sal and try the accelerator. will let you know if there is a difference. I currently have about 50 coats of Z2/Z5 on my baby.

I am not sure why but the Acura wiring diagrams that I used for the instructions list the lights as tail lights when in fact they will flash the front parking lights and the rear tail lights. I used the same terminology as the manual in case anyone had one and wanted to follow along the wiring diagrams. So the short answer is yes, follow the instructions and you will get a flash of all the parking lights tail & front.

I don't understand what this has to do with the current topic.

I'm not trying to be picky, Dave, I'm just trying to understand what you're referring to.

ZFX does several things...

1. It reduces the drying time, which might be more important to someone in Seattle as opposed to Phoenix.

2. It allows multiple successive coats (for those Zaino-philes who are so inclined) to be applied without a waiting time.

3. It also looks better (subjective, but I think it does).

Since, in the past, you only used Z-1 once a season, ZFX gives you the catalyzing benefits with each coat. If you use ZFX, there's no reason to use Z-1.

The instructions on my box of ZFX say no more than three coats in 24 hrs. I asked Sal directly about adding my leftover Z1 to the mix and he said it wouldn't make a difference. I've done two 3-coat days on two successive weekends, and all I can say is the car looks awesome. Don't know if it would have the same results with just six normal coats or not. You can still use the ZFX for one coat at a time, just mix only enough for that one coat. The ZFX is supposed to make the treatment more durable, so I think it makes it worth it.
Ken, Dave was answering Tabasco's question re: some keyless wiring option.

Oh! Now I see it. I must have missed that the first time.

NSXLNT, What color is your car? I think Zaino has better results on different colors. My Monaco Blue looks great, better than ever, but I think there is a more dramatic difference with Red or Black.

My car is a '93 Red/Ivory. It has about twenty coats of Z2/Z5 on it before the ZFX. Unfortunately, being seven years old when I got it, the car's paint has a few imperfections, even though the previous owners took good care of it. I'm probably being extremely anal, but all in all, I'm happy enough with the way the car looks to not warrant any other extreme measures, ie professional buffing, etc. Tabasco, since you got your car new, and you started Zaino right away, it must be incredibly beautiful. This stuff is addictive, isn't it?

Yes it is. I work form home and I take a break by applying another coat of Zaino. I am about to place my third order from Sal.

Have any pics of your car?
