If you could build your dream NSX what mods would you have? Assuming a realistic budget because, let's be real... if you had $1M you'd be buying Veyron. lol

I'll start with my list... (though this seems to change as often as Oprah's weight)

1. OBDI Coupe
2. 3.8L Engine Build
3. ITBs
4. 6 spd USDM
5. KW V3
6. Custom Ti Exhaust of my own design
7. Route KS Madonna WB 02+ conversion
8. Brembo lotus bbk

Other not so realistic goals...
1. Import a 2002 Type R but convert it to LH drive
2. Send it thru the NSX Tochigi refresh program
..
..
.
p.s. It's a slow day at work...

I have a similar build in mind, I think we have similar taste:

1. KWv3 or Moton (if I could eve allow myself to spend that much on coilovers)
2. 3.8L w/ ITB and 6spd
3. Full custom Ti exhaust
4. 02+ conversion w/ JGTC WB or Taitec WB (in full dry carbon/Kevlar if I can afford it) although w/ my own design front end.

Dream NSX: LHD Spoon NSX-R GT

P.S. Also a slow day at work

Hmm.... Ideally,..

1. Coupe
2. Turbo / Supercharged
3. Properly built engine
4. 500 - 600 whp
5. 6-speed
6. Custom body pieces with subtle styling
7. Custom paint job
8. Nice set of 18/19 (preferably relatively rare)
9. BBK
10. Good sound system for those long drives

I would just wait and buy yours.

I would make my 91 into my own American Type-S:

1. Type-S suspension
2. Full Type-S interior using my Ivory/Black motif
3. SOS 3.3L rebuild
4. 6-speed
5. Type-S rear and door badges
5. All chassis welds and reinforcements from 97+
6. All 97-01 body panels (thinner/lighter)
7. Full quality repaint, i.e., send to pbassjo :)
8. Type-S engine cover (same as NSX-R)
9. 2001 ABS system
10. Paint my 2002+ wheels JDM Gunmetal (Washi Gray)

Not fair... you've described your current car PERFECTLY!

1. 3.8 with itb
2. Mugen m7 rims
3. Moton coilovers
4. Bbk that works with the mugen m7s
5. Red 2002 seats
6. Gruppe M ti exhaust
7. Fujitsubo headers

All this on a stock na1 body berlina black

LS7NSX is pretty much building mine... for a track car.

Ravi and Vrooom build the best interiors for a street car.

Why do you guys keep aiming low and picking the KW V3's? Go for the gold baby! Buy the KW Competitions then put them in your bedroom for like a year.

Dream Build: To Replicate the MUGEN RR without the snorkel, GT wing, and Engine Position.

This is going to sound obnoxious, but it's really true. My "dream build" is really my current NSX.

I remember on the forums when Luis first got the car and started modding it (CTSC, CT headers, Tubi exhaust, engine bay dress up, smartenna, insane tint, 3M clear bra) and then Peter finished it off (procar hood, tail, garnish, stacy sides and spats, comptech lip, tein flex suspension, volks, NSX-R rotors, project mu pads, momo wheel)

When Peter put it up for sale I had to buy it and "return to the fold" :D I added just a couple of finishing touches (DF CF/Lexan engine cover, CF door sills, iPod adapter, momo shifter) and of course did the DEFERRED MAINTENANCE that was forgotten in all of this modding ;)

Only 1 mod! engine swapping, like those lotus with K20A, but I want a bigger one
the F355 engine in NSX, best sounding in high rpm, so I don't have to wish I had a GT-one exhaust to sound like a Ferrari hahahaa

My dream.
honda-nsx-mugen-rr.jpg

1. ITBs with a functional scoop feeding them.
2. Cylinder heads ported by Tom at Portflow, and if he feels the ITB runners would benefit from porting, then that too.
3. Hytech designed CP pistons
4. Hytech headers, exhaust system

The rest of the car would be an NSX-R clone. The only personal touch would be a center exit exhaust with matching rear diffuser.

"Realistic budget" and "dream NSX" cannot be uttered in the same breath, if you ask me

I'd be happy with a duplicate os SOS's white shop car. Amazing example of what can be done without looking Frankenstein-ish
