, so I will prob change the clutch before it burns again.

I am wondring how much for thejob...can I get the cltuch and the work done for under 1000?

please help. thnks

Auraraptor,

You may get away with it, but not recommended. This is a 3.0 dual plate clutch, correct?? There are pins that hold the intermediate plate and the pressure plate and they fatigue with age.

I would not recommend doing it this way, because you may end up taking it apart again if you do.

Also I am not aware of $1000 that will get you an installed clutch w/o flywheel anyway.

Please do not take this the wrong way, but I would work on your clutching first

Are you sure? If I remember correctly, it cost me ~750 for a complete job labor before and that included an alighment afterwards.
so I am guessing...

Auraraptor, are you talking about labor only, or labor and parts? I think this is the source of some confusion in this thread. You may be able to pay under $1000 for labor on a clutch installation, but it won't include the cost of the clutch itself.
