Yet another 2.3l whipple SC build

You may see some improvements if you modify your air inlet so you have a straight shot on the air supply. This is what I did to mine.

I had debated whether or not to do this when modifying the snout for the new throttle body. In the end I decided it wasn't worth the changes it would require to the bypass valve routing, the airbox, hose routing, etc. We just made sure the inlet had a greater cross sectional area than the throttle body and accepted the slight S curve.

One other thing I should mention. I had a problem with my V-Tec not opening and tried everything. Then we added more timing and all worked perfectly.

Not quite sure why your timing would impact your VTEC engagement, but glad you got it sorted out nonetheless.

Mine is a mysterious issue with the oil supply to the spool valve at the front head. After much investigation, I have come to the conclusion that it is some blockage in the oil passages to the front head from the rear main.

I'm going to run an external oil feed into a tee where the front head oil pressure sender is, effectively bypassing the oil passages from the main to the head.

I know it sounds ... well, unlikely, but all signs point there.

Thanks for the help though.

Fixed the VTEC problem by running an external oil feed from the rear head to the front head.

Now having a 3.75" pulley made to install before going back and finishing the tune.

Car does run very well with the VIPEC; feels like a stock EMS to me.
