So last saturday I finally got to install my H&R springs, Cquence cross-drilled/slotted rotors, and Project Mu brake pads.

The car is very low (H&R on lower perch bilstein), I am pretty much rubbing on all four corners especially the fronts. The rears only rub on a very bumpy road, while the fronts rub on most bumps. It helps that the springs are pretty stiff though..

The ride is stiffer, and stiffer = good for me. Still very streetable but decreased body-roll by a lot. It feels so much better. Man, I've never had this type of result on just springs before.

My front tires are 215/40/17 instead of 215/35/17, so that explains the rubbing. I'll be changing the tires soon anyway. So I'm sure that the rubbing will be lessen once I do this.

Project Mu B-Force Brake pads are awesome and I want to thank Mark from Dali Racing for VERY fast shipment. I got my stuff 2 days after ordering.

The Cquence rotors are extremely nice and all my mechanic friends have no negative things to say about it. But it is cheap and not very popular so its best to check for cracks once in a while. Just for the record, it says made in japan.. haha..

The pads and the rotors match great, my brakes have a lot of initial bite and I'm not even done bedding them yet.. There is definitely a significant increase in braking performance compared to my stock brakes with this set-up.

I was going to install the SS brake lines but we ran out of time. So I'll probably do that in two weeks along with ATE super blue brake fluid, and Ayotte Camber Correction.

Here are some pictures..

215/40/17 is the correct tire size for the front.a 35 series may be too short in hieght compared to what you have in back and you may get into tcs issues.I would try to figure out were and why you are rubbing and try another aproach to fixing this problem.

Car looks great! But you are missing your front spoiler....

So, you are running H&R springs on Bilsteins on the lower perch?

H&R's = 1.5 inch drop
Bilsteins lower perch= 7/8 inch drop, which is .875 inches

So your car is lowered 2.375 inches? Doesn't seem that low for some reason, maybe just from the pictures.

Thanks guys..

Yeah I know, I wanted to paint the calipers but we only had 4 hours to work on this thing. I still haven't decided what color to paint it with anyway. I got 3 choices, gold, red or black..

It seems that this 40 series tire is the common series for 17 inch rims. But I have 265/35/18 for the rears, so running both 35 series for front and back should be okay for looks and TCS right? Speaking of which, my TCS light was blinking earlier heading to work, and it all started when I was on a bumpy part of the freeway.. argh..

Hey man.. Yeah I am actually surprised too, its not that low. I knew the drop will be close to 2.5 but its really not that bad.

Look at these pictures (I actually bought the springs from the owner of this car)

Same exact setup, but mine sits higher.. Maybe because of the rim size..

Unfortunately I do not have a stock lip.. The car never came with it.. However I do have wings west lip, skirts and rear spats which will be installed soon.
