So last saturday I finally got to install my H&R springs, Cquence cross-drilled/slotted rotors, and Project Mu brake pads.
The car is very low (H&R on lower perch bilstein), I am pretty much rubbing on all four corners especially the fronts. The rears only rub on a very bumpy road, while the fronts rub on most bumps. It helps that the springs are pretty stiff though..
The ride is stiffer, and stiffer = good for me. Still very streetable but decreased body-roll by a lot. It feels so much better. Man, I've never had this type of result on just springs before.
My front tires are 215/40/17 instead of 215/35/17, so that explains the rubbing. I'll be changing the tires soon anyway. So I'm sure that the rubbing will be lessen once I do this.
Project Mu B-Force Brake pads are awesome and I want to thank Mark from Dali Racing for VERY fast shipment. I got my stuff 2 days after ordering.
The Cquence rotors are extremely nice and all my mechanic friends have no negative things to say about it. But it is cheap and not very popular so its best to check for cracks once in a while. Just for the record, it says made in japan.. haha..
The pads and the rotors match great, my brakes have a lot of initial bite and I'm not even done bedding them yet.. There is definitely a significant increase in braking performance compared to my stock brakes with this set-up.
I was going to install the SS brake lines but we ran out of time. So I'll probably do that in two weeks along with ATE super blue brake fluid, and Ayotte Camber Correction.
Here are some pictures..
BEFORE: Stock springs on lower perch bilstein
Don't mind the gap.
EEEEW.. stock and rusty rotor..
MMMMMM.. nice and shiny with a hint of green.
Whew. I'm finally making some progress..
I cannot wait to install the skirts..It might be too low.. yikes. hahaha...
Sorry for the long post. But I hope some of the information here can help others.
Hope you guys like it.
