XBox ethernet problem

Well my sons Xbox no longer will connect to the net. The little green light on the ethernet port will not light up any more and he gets the "no connection" error. We called cust srv to troubleshoot and it appears the port is bad. The damn 6 month old box only has a 90 day manuf warranty and its $80 bucks to send it in for service. Can I replace the port myself, is there something I am overlooking your help is greatly appreciated.

My 2 year old turned mine on and off like 400times until the hard drive locked up now its dead:frown:



Its just a PC on the inside..you should be able to get a local PC repair place to look at it for you....

Go on google and search Xbox forums...alot of the people there are prettysmart on xbox stuff.
