Returning from Reno, CA with a caravan of NSX's from the Sacramento Chapter. Picture this: All of the NSX's are in the fast lane one after another, cruising at 65 or so when all the sudden this late model Intrepid pass me on the right and cuts between me and the NSX in front of me. There is maybe room for 1.345 cars. Okay I say what a jerk...no problem. Then this guy decides to slow down to 50 MPH or so...okay now this guy is playing games. By then the group of NSX's up front are long gone, so I decide to move to the slow lane, pass this jerk and catch back up to the group.

Everything back to normal when all the sudden this idiot passes me (again) on the right, cuts in front of me and slams on his brakes. He braked so hard it threw up debris from the road. I'm pissed now!!

We all finally exited the freeway and he was gone.

Anybody seem him?

This was several weeks ago and I am still mad about it.

Too bad you didn't all have your NSX Club two-way radios. There are all KINDS of things you could have choreographed against him, everything from synchronized lane-blocking to calling the authorities and boxing him in until they arrived...

Maybe he was upset that there were a bunch of cars going slowly in the fast lane (passing lane) and there was no way to get by...not that it justifies his actions. I’ve seen this behavior several times in NSX convoys where we were going slowly in the passing lane. A good and safe convoy is one that drives in the right lane and uses the passing lane for passing only…this way, the as&*)holes can get by and find some other car to rage against. Another way to remedy the situation is to set the convoy speed at 155, that way most of the as&*)holes can’t keep up

Seriously, sorry to hear about the raging fool—I don’t know what it is, but these incidents seem to make me angry for days too…

Sorry to hear about the road rage incident. Although I wasn't there, I can see possible reasons the Intrepid driver acted as he did. He just reacted the wrong way.

I just had a road rage incident with a Lexus LS400 on Sunday. I was in the passing lane when I came up to this car that was slowly passing a car beside him but then slowed to match it's speed. I waited a while for him to pass but he wouldn't budge. I then went to change lanes and noticed a Lexus LS400 behind my blind spot. I signalled to change lanes and he just sped up and closed the gap so that I was now boxed in by all 3 cars. I looked over at him (some guy in his 50's) and he didn't look too impressed with me. I kept looking over at him annoyed that he had blocked me and he just kept looking back. What a jerk. It's bad enough that there are people like the one in front of me but the guy beside me is worse because he intentionally blocked me. Anyways, I knew what was next since I've seen it a hundred times. When traffic opened up he changed lanes and sped up to stay ahead of me but I had better positioning and ended up in front of him so he slowed down. I was so tempted to 'road rage' with him but flipped him off (only the second time I've ever done this) and exited the highway. What an idiot.

My biggest beef is with slower cars in the passing lane. Basically, I hate when people drive in the passing lane beside someone for extended periods when there are cars behind them but no cars in front of them. It just drives people to weave in and out of traffic.

I've had so many 'road rage' incidents that I've thought about mounting a video camera in my car just in case.
