My 92 NSX has worn bushes on the right rear lower control arm. A trip to the local Acura dealer revealed that these bushes are NOT listed as a spare part but they did offer to sell me a new bracket(part number 50220-SL0-000) complete with new bushes for around $1300! Has anybody had this problem? There must be an aftermarket source of rubber bushings out there somewhere. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Looked at the parts catalogue, and indeed, Honda does not offer just the rubbers, been there before with another Honda. Maybe you can get some aftermarket solution?

Look at the bright side... the exact same part costs here over 2500 USD.
God knows why.

Notice that you can also just buy the bushings as DIY for $290 instead of the exchange beam for $495. You probably need access to a press to get them in & out & still probably requires removal of the beam for best access.

Don't ask me how I know - but they can be done while the beam is on the car. (just have an icebox and blowtorch nearby:wink: )

You need to do a little more homework first. The 50220 part is NOT the non-compliance beam. That would be 50020. So be sure this is what you need. If your post has a typo, then it may be a correct parts, but be sure. Which bushing is worn?

Thanks for the correction, must be a typo because its certainly the bushing in the non-compliance beam. Its the one nearest the rear on the lower control arm. I think I will buy the replacement bushing from Science of Speed and have a go at fitting it myself. Will report progress. Thanks for all the advice everbody.

I really might be worth letting SoS install them. You really need to get these right. Comptech stopped selling just the bushings because many got installed incorrectly.

Probably about $100 of headache:).

You will have to remove the entire beam regardless.

I gave up on the idea of replacing the bushes with the beam in place, now removing beam and waiting for SoS beam and bushes to arrive. Thanks to all for the advice.
