will my 2000 NSX handle better than friends C6Z06?

Acura NSX: 1:54.74
Porsche 911 Carrera: 1:54.22
Chevrolet Corvette Z06: 1:53.73

Acura NSX: 1:59.37
Porsche 911 Carrera: 1:56.87
Chevrolet Corvette Z06: 1:55.50

Acura NSX: 2:03.18
Porsche 911 Carrera: 2:03.22
Chevrolet Corvette Z06: 2:01.72

nsxtacy, thank you, that was exactly the sort of stats I was looking for.

The power to weight ratio of the NSX to the Carrera and especially Z06 is at the VERY least SIGNIFICANTLY disadvantaged.

Although the braking of the NSX is great, I don't think it is noticeably superior [or even equal to?] to either the Carrera or Z06.

If you were to give the NSX the power to weight ratio of the Z06 or Carrera it would stomp them off the track [beat them by at least a 2.0-2.5 second margin on that track] IMO.

If you isolate the breaking and power, the rest is handling which in itself is a multitude of things. I'd say it is fair, on that track under those conditons, the NSX handles AT LEAST as good as either of those cars considering the times and power to weight ratios. That's where the balance and driveability come into play.

C4, give me a break. C4's handle good for an old domestic, but that's where the flattering stops.

And for the record, the middle times basically involved a loss of control on the corkscrew with the NSX.

All the drivers also agreed it was most difficult to drive the NSX in the wet, but I don't think too many go to test the limits of their car in the rain.

Nice thing about the above tests is that each set of tests were done by the same driver. The drivers all got the best times in the Z06. Oh, btw, this was the C5 Z06 tested against the NSX and Carerra, not the C6 Z06..
