Who's Imola for sale in GTA?

its the same same car. it went from 44->41->37.9 (when i was interested)->35 (last advertised). it took another 4-5 months to sell to rx7.

when i talked to the previous owner about it... it really rubbed me the wrong way every time he said it was 'ONLY 40 grand'. for a car that needed 25k (claimed) fix with a title, no financing, cash only... that is still a considerable amount of money. if you go thoughs prime's entire history there are next to zero 02+ rebuilt/salvage nsxs that sell for over 40... my educated guess says 35-39... the ebay bids for salvage 02+ normally top out at 35 ish (not meeting reserve).

there was a low milage 97 repainted yellow with 02+ front end , 25k miles in canada that sold for 32k in (vancouver) only 14 months ago. that car despite having the front end collision was fixed perfectly... but i hated the fact that it was painted from oem spa yellow to some custom non oem yellow color.

lol i cant believe i recall all these things so accurately during my nsx search.

You/previous owner are likely correct. I am just saying that it is impossible to finance any MY NSX as the last MY would be 2006 from any manufacturer or bank.

I am still curious to see this car. I wonder if rx7 purchased the car for $34,900 as advertised in 2011

It wouldn't be too bad if the car drove straight and motor/tranny was smooth for that price. There are rebuilt NA1's asking for just shy of that price in the states.

At $48,000 or whatever he is asking now, is a bit much for the history though lol

I'm being quoted on the 35K$ asking price in 2011, and glad someone came in to corroborate since my memory isn't this reliable! I remember following the ads on this car years ago, the thread copied earlier contains useful information about this particular, a fellow primer had a look at it I think and a few issues came up though they might be fixed by now.

It would be good if the seller provided more info about the state of repairs on this car, I'm sure the current owner had things looked at closely before buying. I doubt anyone in their right mind would spend this kind of money on a car that's been seriously damaged without checking for frame damage. The NSX chassis is a single complex piece of engineering and while I'm certainly no expert, I would imagine that straightening this kind of piece wouldn't be simple, but again the seller could provide comforting details for a potential buyer.

Anyone here had a recent look at the car? Everything has a price..

Hard to tell but doesn't look too bad from that photo from a few years ago. The NSX door beam is very strong and made to bend to a certain degree in the event of a side impact. But only real way would have been to tear it down and have the frame checked on a frame machine. OEM Door itself is $10k plus internals and door panel, plus frame machine time, + paint etc so seeing $25+ fix is reasonable hence the reason why the insurance c/o wrote it off. Almost anything can be fixed all comes down to how much time and $$$ you want to throw at it.

If we are talking about the same car, it is a 2001 with an '02 front end, it is very low mileage and is very nice (albeit with a salvage title) - even has a few nice mods.

It may have sold under $30K

Very likely the same car, I will dig up the past FS thread when I am on the computer. If it sold for under 30 that is a great deal for new owner. It was fixed correctly that's for sure... Just hated the custom yellow paint color and not back to oem.

It had Stacey skirts but no doorcaps and I think color keyed yellow Roja wheels. Black on black interior.

POST EDIT - here it is. i was mistaken as it was a 2000. it was sold for 32 i beleieve (the seller told me directly). this prev owner on prime a nice guy; he was very confident in the car and offered to fly me immeidately to van to to check out the condition of the car as he was well aware of the condition of other 'mint' rebuilds. at the time i was only about 4-5 weeks away from a booked work trip to vancouver anyways so my plan was to check it out then ...... the rest is history.
