PATRIOTS & FALCONS!!!

Wow, I was wondering when this question would come up.

I would love to see Phil vs Pitts at the Superbowl since there has not been a champion in any sports from PA.

However, since I am from Boston and I would like this year to be remembered as the year of Boston in sports (Red Sox winning and all), it would be cool to see Pats doing it one more time.

I would say Pats vs Eagles

Yes, I too thought you were asking who was attending the game in person.

I don't care who wins this Sunday, so I didn't answer based on who I want to win, but rather, who I think will win. And I based my answer on their performance last weekend.

I picked New England for the AFC. Pittsburgh did not play like a 15-1 team. They made plenty of mistakes, and barely squeaked by the Jets. They would have lost if the Jets had a kicker who could make a 46-yard field goal. Or a 43-yarder. ;) BTW, I really don't think a team that can't make a field goal from that distance belongs in the playoffs, but this year there were three of them. San Diego lost the same way as the Jets, and the Vikings wouldn't even attempt a field goal from that distance. Shameful.

Anyway, I also picked Atlanta for the NFC. I think Philadelphia probably has more sheer talent than Atlanta (although Michael Vick is awesome). However, Atlanta played a superb game, and made virtually no mistakes. The Eagles made a bunch of mistakes, but beat the Vikings because the Vikings made a whole lot more. Philly will have to play a much better game to beat the Falcons if they're on top of their game again.

After typing the above, I see that the current line favors the Eagles by 4.5 and the Pats by 2.5. Obviously, I don't agree. Of course, on any given Sunday... ;)

Anyone but the Patriots. They have become a thorn in the side of the Colts. We seem to open and close every year losing to them. I'm hoping the Steelers win and then I hope either the falcons or eagles beat them.
