Could anyone recommend a place in San Francisco to have my brake calipers painted in San Francisco? Sorry it's not a do it yourself for me. I live in an apartment and my car is parked four stories below ground level. If I saw someone in the garage using spray pant I would go nuts.

Would like to take it to a shop that could do it for me.

Thanks in advance.

I have a friend here in kansas that does powder coating, he's doing my calipers in red with the nsx logo's in white for 100$, dunno if your interested in shipping your calipers halfway across the country but if you are lemme know.

I just did mine a few months ago and it's still looking pretty good. I did it myself in the garage with G2 Gold and red caliper paint with hardener.

Do it on a side street and have fun.
Just get some black barbeque paint or high temp paint and some chrome nail polish and an hour or two later your done.
Just have fun with it, you'll be glad you did.
Its called DIY!!!
Enjoy

That's too funny. I live in Pacific Heights in San Francisco...

1. There is no such thing as a level street here. Imagine those photos of the hills in San Francisco. Well, that's Pacific Heights.

2. Parking here is next to impossible. If I found a parking space here I think I might cone it off and then go out and buy another car to put in it.

Thanks for you input anyway Trev. Much appreciated.

Do you have a pic of it?

There is a shop on El Camino before it turns into Mission st right across street from Wendys who can do it. Also I believe the stereo shop next to Don's Hilltop I believe auto sound. I did it at the car shop right across the street from the Wendys on El Camino before Mission after colma bart. I can't remember the name but the prices are good I paid $100 and brought my own paint. If I drive by today I will get the name for you. I did black with silver lettering to match my rims and car it looks great.

I would highly recommend that you powder coat your calipers. The finish will last alot longer than paint. Paint tends to fade even if it is high temperature, trust me on this one. Don at Hilltop has a source who he can send your calipers too for powder coating.

Good luck.

Do the Easy way out. Just get the SOS ones.

Here u go: SOS caliper rebuild program

Thank you for the post.

Our colors now are red, black, and silver. We can do other colors for a small extra fee.

We have only one core set available now (1991-96), hope to start to increase our core supply. We can always do this to your own set, and the turn around time is only around 2 weeks from the point of receipt.

We have one set in stock in red (1991-96).

Cheers,
-- Chris
