A very nice gentleman gave me a big cashier's check today and drove off in my 1997 white Targa. As he turned the street corner, I had one last glimpse of that beautiful car. I immediately wondered if I had made the right decision. I first saw the car in 1999 NSXPO when it was driven by the original owner John Foster. It was love at first sight and I decided that I would get one just like that. 1997+ white NSXs are quite rare, and when I finally located one in 2001, I bought it sight unseen. I totally lucked out to have bought John's car from the second owner. Yesterday, I went out snapping a bunch of pictures of the car for memories. Now, as I am looking at those pictures, I could not believe how beautiful the car is compared to my black 1994 coupe. Oh well, life goes on. It has been such a luxury to have 2 white NSXs for the past 2 years. I guess this black coupe is here to end this insanity. What I really miss most other than the white color is actually the power steering of the T. It is not the 290hp, 6 speed, or targa top at all. Here are a few pictures of the white T at http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4289069399

Just an FYI it is never good to take cashiers checks from people over the weekend. Always go with them to their bank during the week and get them. I own a business and I have seen a sharp increase in the number of scams involving fake cashiers checks

Thanks. Good point, NSXG35.
Another way to verify the check is to call the bank and this is what I did. A lot of banks are open on weekends now. The check is genuine so I let the car go.
Thanks.

What are your plans now?
The black coupe is getting a brand new CTSC, BBK, 18/19 Iforged wheels, custom exhaust, and perhaps Comptech headers. I still have the white TE37s with new Nitto 555 tires for sale. If I don't sell them, I might just powder coat them silver to use them on the coupe instead of getting Iforged.
Steve

White nsxs are the best!!!!!!!!

If you cant sell them I have a set of silver Te37 that I want to powder coat white. If you want to trade it will save us both money on mounting and painting and whatever else, my yokos have less than 1000 miles. My wheels are the same size but the tires are 265 35 215 40

Hi Chris,
I think the shipping is quite expensive from the West to the East. I am actually thinking about doing the LE37 style if I change the color. You know the polished lip with the silver center. BTW, do your wheels have any flaws on them?
Steve

Steve, looks like you have officially went to the dark (black) side. :p I always thought that you will stay with the white 97.

Hey do you want my LE37Ts? I may just go -2 and get a set of factory 15's/16's. You should have stopped me from selling the Work Meisters so that you can pick up the LE's from me.

The iForged and the LE37Ts will give your car a totally different look. It all depends on what image you are trying to project.

Bling bling? iForged....

Racy? LE37Ts

With CTSC, BBK and ferrari like exhaust, I'd think that a racy look will go well with the rest of the package. But then the iForged can show off the BBK a lot better. decisions ... decisions!

Steve,
I have a 5mega pixal camera and can take some pics of each wheel if you would like to trade. The shipping via ups should run around $140..... NO PRESSURE Steve, just let me know either way. Take care and good day

I think Steve H went from "whiteNSXs" (2) to "whiteNSX" (1) -- he had a white/black coupe and added John Foster's white/tan NSX-T (some of you might remember it from NSXPO 1999 in Laguna Seca).

As far as going to "the dark side", I would suggest that he's already crossed that line :D

Hi Steve,

Which BBK are you planning on purchasing? Make sure that
your new wheels will have the proper clearance, the TE-37's
might require spacers with some applications..

Ken

Reading that reminded me of letting go of a loved one...a girlfriend or a wife or a best friend...i know cars sometimes mean that much.

When I had to let go of my first car...my mustang, which i poured my heart, soul, and bank account into, I almost cried! I loved that car!!

The thing that helped me the most: the car is a machine...no feelings...it doesn't miss you. It didn't even care about you, as much as we'd like to think it did or does!

Enjoy the black! i love mine! :)

Ok. The TE37s are sold. I am going to order a set of iForged after NSXPO. I like the Aeros and the Fluxes. With the Fluxes, I can buy the BBK later since the 6 spokes hide the small rotors better, but by the same token, do not show them as well. The Aeros, on the other hands, immediately show the tiny rotors, so I'd better get the BBK first. I likely will get the Stoptech front kit and the SOS rear kit. But Andrie Hartanto told me to just get the Stoptech for all 4 corners which cost $5200 which is quite pricey and it is not yet available.
