I am beginning my search for aftermarket wheels for my 93 NSX and I need some guidance. I have noticed a lot of NSXers are using Volk wheels.

Questions:
1)Who are the better manufactures which produce wheels for an NSX.
2) What sizes and offsets should I get? The car has stock suspension, WW groud effects. I may want to go with larger brakes later, I definitely don't want any rubbing problems and I don't want to upset the function of the TCS. On the other hand I want to go as wide as possible in the rear without incurring the above listed issues.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Good luck Lynn. I'm trying to figure out what I will be purchasing also. I will be going to a big brake kit along with coilovers, and want a set for the street and track. The more I read the more I confuse myself. A better size-selection of r coumpounds would help! The other thing that really is a pain in the butt is that wheel vendors only provide a template for the consumer to use when trying to figure out which big brake kits will clear. A lot of friggen good that does someone who doesn't have the wheels yet (or will be purhasing at the same time).

One of my missions at XPO is to get this stuff figured out. It's like piecing together a jig-saw puzzle using pieces from 6 different puzzles. To get it right and optimum that is.

Thanks Nimbus and KPG for you prompt and enlightening responses. I'm sure I have a lot more to learn before making a final decision.

interesting that someone brought up the R compound tire option. I would say if you know for sure that you need a R tire sets for track use, the best for you would be have another set of wheels, perferably used one for them... cuz it is not too wise for you to paying the tire shop for switching streee/ R tires back and forth...

and If you need 2 set of rims, you might not want to spend 3k for only one set. But, maybe if your pocket is deep enough... You can just get the best available for both usage....:D
which is the strongest construction plus good look for street.
the more rigidy yet light weight (Volk??) for the track.

Forged rims are always good but one thing, if you hit a curb or ditch and it's out of round, it will be harder to 'fix' than a cast wheel. ( talking about the quick fix by experienced wheel specialist with hammer!! ) then you probably have only one option to send to those professional wheel restoration. ($50 vs. $200)

You might want to contact "theWB" for wheel info. He deals with a lot of high end wheels (ie:HRE,iForged,Volk, etc.) and also owns a awesome blue NSX with wheels, suspension, and big brakes!!! He should be able to help you out a lot! :)
Good Luck, and as always, post pics!!!
