Here's a fun exercise. I know you've had your share of movie watching last year. Based only on the movies you've seen (after all, if you've never seen it, you can't nominate it), who/what will you vote for?!

Here's mine:

Best Film: Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Best Actor: Tom Cruise (The Last Samurai)
Best Supporting Actor: Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai)
Best Actress: Charlize Theron (Monster)
Best Director: Peter Jackson (LOTR Trilogy)
Best Animated Film: Finding Nemo
Best Adapted Screenplay: Seabiscuit
Best Foreign Film: WhaleRider
Best Visual Effects: The Matrix: Revolutions
Best Cinematography: The Last Samurai
Best Costume Design: Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

This is not an exhaustive list of Oscar categories nor does it reflect the Academy Award's own list. This is strictly personal preference. I just picked the movies I've seen that fit in those categories (I don't have a "best supporting actress" category for instance).

Now, list yours! :D

I am looking for "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Last Samurai" to take a good number of awards.

If it was up to me, it would be:

Best Film: Love Actually
Best Actor: Bill Murray (Lost in Translation)
Best Supporting Actor: Albert Finney (Big Fish)
Best Actress: Scarlett Johansson (Lost in Translation)
Best Supporting Actress: Emma Thompson (Love Actually)
Best Director: Peter Jackson (LOTRROTK)

I have yet to see Charlize Theron in "Monster," but the word's she's the odd on favor for the Oscar.
