The 209 area code isn't even for Torrance, should be 310.

Most of the scams that have been posted on the internet (on sites like eBay, Autotrader, etc) have included telephone numbers that don't work. They pull in victims who contact them via e-mail.

thanks for the heads up. i was not looking to buy, although the information i have just learned will be helpful when my day comes to start seriously looking.
