I'm seriously interested in these two NSX's...

1) 91, 50k miles, 5th owner, 97 headers, ARK exhaust, 94 wheels (curb rash), CTSC ( recently installed with new autorotor), in snap ring range (spare JDM trans goes with car, still on original clutch), timing belt/water pump/valve adjust done 1.5 years ago, car in WA state (I'm in Vancouver, Canada 1.5 hours away), cannot get complete service history, $35,000

2) 94, 45k miles, stock, local car all its' life, complete service records from day one (service done as required including timing belt/water pump), no cross-border duty, etc, $31,000

Both are in similar condition, prices for both are in $US for comparison purposes. Which would you buy and why? Thanks to all for constructive comments.

The 91 is tempting since it has some aftermarket goodies, mainly the CTSCer, but I'd go 94 since it's newer, one owner, local, lower mileage, and comes with all the service records.

ditto.... i prefer to buy stock and make the changes myself

If everything else is equal (condition, color preference, trans) I'd get the 94 over the 91. Factory upgrades, records, lower price and no import fees (I'm assuming) sounds good to me. Use the money saved on aftermarket as you see fit.

I agree I think you should go for the 94 because its only one owner and newer and you can trust the service records more because there is only one owner verus the other you might not no what all the owners did to that car!!!!

I honestly would go with a newer car, 2000 and up. I opted to get a 2001 Honda S2000 over a 1999 NSX back in 2001. Now I am going with the newer 2002-2005 NSX.

1991

No Brainer.....you get a CTSC plus other goodies, for only $4000 delta, which easily cost twice that.

Who cares how many previous owners - one or a dozen.....if the car is maintained, it don't matter.

Miles? You concerned about 45k vs 50 k? In the grand scheme, that is only a 10 % or 11 % difference.

Being that there are allot of frugal people on this sight (not unlike myself) I can understand the lean towards 94 over 91. It all comes down to what someone wants. try to find a 50k clean specimen with a new CTSC install and a spare jdm short gear tranny. good luck. I'm thinking definitely the stock 94:biggrin:
