Well, what Al is saying in his unusual but eloquent prose is that he got beat fair and square
Not only he did not pass me out of 14/15, but he did
not pass me anywhere else on the track  I have no clue to his reference that he left us standing in the dust, it must the heat stroke that has affected his recollection  I have two other NSXs to attest to this, Allen and Steve who were following him on the track - we were four NSXs that got on the track together and ran together in toe for several laps; it was great fun. Allen who was on R compound was holding back and laughing while were duking it in the heat. In a later session, Allen did pass me and kudos to him and to his well tuned car. I will post a picture where I am holding the 1$ bet when Steve (SMGNSX) forwards it and a proof of who was actually in the dust

And Ken, sure it is fair game to compare the two NSXs! Al's NSX has the short gears, Comptech headers and exhaust which equalizes the HP and the six speed advantage, 4 point harness belts whereas I am still dancing in the OEM seats with three point harness, Koni adjustable suspension with Eibach whereas I am on Bilstein/OEM springs, noncompliant beam, he has a brand new Wilwood rotor and caliper - I am running on turned and new pads that were embedded just before the session started, aftermarket clutch vs OEM clutch, and both he and his car are lighter by at least 200 lbs ...... But more importantly, Al himself considered this challenge to be fair comparison for the first time - though he now claims the Michelin Sport were no match to my OEM Bridgestone tires that have seen some serious track miles and heat cycles ...... excuses, excuses, excuses
But as the gentleman that he is, he took in the spirit of the of sportsmanship - he finally
conceded
I am sure Al will work on some other mods before the next event, and will never go back to street tires as the ensuing stress might be too much for his heart muscles to handle
