Just curious.....what type of vacuum do you use to keep your cars clean inside? I am thinking about going out and picking something up as my Dustbuster just doesn't get it anymore!

Thanks!

Craftsman Vacuum, similar to the one below:

2 Gal Wet/Dry

The Ridged brand vacuum. They are great, you can buy them at home depot. They have a great variety, and big assortment of attachments. The best part is the lifetime warranty, if it ever brakes or any of the attachments brake, you can bring them to home depot and get it replaced on the spot.

Do you mean the small handheld one? If so I have no idea how. That thing is he biggest pos I have ever owned. It had 4 minutes of battery life when new. Mine doesn't even work any more and it's two years old. I looked at getting another battery. $75! Instead I threw it out. The web is full of bad reviews on his product. As far as I can see dyson is very good at one thing only - marketing.

I just use my electrolux home vacuum to do the car.

That is what I have plus the detailing kit that has a nicer hose and some other tools that make cleaning easier than just using tools meant to clean your curtains

I picked up this one at Sam's Club the other day (its branded as Armor All) Ive seen them in AutoZone too.

It seems to work well. I have had too many of the handheld vac die on me so I wanted something a little more and it came with a TON of accessory pieces.....plus the price was right. < $40.00

the standard charge works long enough to clean an nsx...ours is 3 yo and no issues.

Wow...I like this one. Looks nice and small. How is the suction and crevice tool?

It works great, never had any suction problems. Just remember to buy extra filters so they're around when you need them. I vacuumed our dogs car and it did a great job with all the hair. For the price I have no complaints. They usually go on sale for a great price during Christmas.

small & portable, powerful & effective, long-cord & versatile...

Can't go wrong w/ this for vehicles, attics/crawl-space/closets, behind desks/tables/shelves, window-sills/baseboards, cabinets/drawers/pantries, kitchen spills, etc.. It's not industrial strength or commercial sized, but it does the job, many of them, rather well!

Lowes: Shop-Vac 4-Gallon 2 Peak HP Wet/Dry Shop Vacuum ($19.98)

(also, quite effective for remnant water in the cowl-spaces/valances/door-cracks, hood/headlight-covers, trunklid/engine-cover/hatch, etc)

I agree with the Dyson being a POS. Mine runs in 5 sec bursts and starting doing that a little after a year. It was a first generation one, maybe they have improved but I'm not willing to try again.

I have one mounted to the wall in the back of my garage with a 30' hose. i use that one.

really? I would think that anything that sucks can be used.

wet-dry vac, a women with a long hose, and old house vac,

if it sucks the dirt from the carpet you can use it.

carpet is carpet landing strips are better though. LOL

I use a small wet/dry vac off the top of my head maybe a 2 gallon size, comes on casters so I don't have to drag it around. I have had it for over a decade it's held up well for other house hold projects as well. I also use it to suck water out of pooled areas when cleaning the car....like in the trunk area.

Went out today and bought one of the small (mini) Shop/Vacs. Gonna try it on my Hummer tomorrow!

I have a Rigid vacuum I bought at HD. It works well and the motor assembly is removable for use as a blower. The only downside is it's too light and the hoses are too stiff, so the slightest tug of the hose causes the thing to roll directly towards your car.
