What to do with my car???

Well we sold the house. Now my problem is what to to with the car. We are going to drive the wife's VW Turbo Beetle back to Ohio to visit my parents for a few weeks, leave her car there and go to the UK to visit the in-laws and then a month or so in Europe. Back to the U.S and find some place to live -- somewhere in the southeast. We have no idea where or when.

Possible solutions:

1. Put the car one of those rental storeage places and have a transport company pick it up at some point in time. I could fly back and drive it to our new location, but I hate to put a few thousand miles on it at one shot.

2. Sent it to Phoen$x and have him keep it at his house. Yes, your still on the radar, even after we spoke on the phone. Just kidding, and you don't get a vote.

3. Tow it to Ohio with my wife's car and drop it off at my parents place. Don't know how her VW, even with a turbo would react to this. Got to check the figures.

4. Put the NSX INSIDE a U Haul and tow the wife's car to Ohio. Don't even know if this is legal, but someone suggested it and it sounded interesting.

Selling a house, relocation, where will we live? My mind is turning into silly putty. Sorry for the long post. Any insight appreciated.

1. Not a good idea to leave an NSX in public storage. Especially when you're that far away. Besides Public Storage won't let cars be stored inside anymore. They have to be parked out in the stalls. This is what they told me when I was checking into it myself.

2. Probably the best option. The only thing is, he's in AZ. Sorta out of the way for you but no biggie.

3. 2 problems. First I towed a car from SF to LA and I needed to rent one of those big V8 trucks even though the back was practically empty. I rented it basically for its towing capacity. I don't think your VW will be able to hack it. Secondly, towing it in the open air? The car is going to be proned scratches, road grime, dust, etc. And you can't cover it either.

4. Never heard of this one before. Does U-haul even have trucks to fit an entire car inside it?

Overall, I say have Pheon$x store it for you until you get back. At least that's one less thing to worry about, especially when your top priority is finding a house out there. Then, when you're settled, either drive it cross country or have it shipped in an enclosed truck ($$$$$). Just my opinion.
