Things are going great up here (except for my investment portfolio, that is
). Hope south Florida is treating you well. Looks like you are back into NSX's again after owning the 996.
I still have my '91 NSX, which now has 22,000 miles, and I also have an '02 Speed Yellow Boxster S I purchased back in January. Love both cars, and have been looking at a '73 Porsche Carrera RS (replica) with an '88 3.2 engine, suspension and transmission to buy to possibly vintage race in.
Since my wife's parents have both passed away, we don't get down to Delray Beach much anymore, but if we do, dinner and drinks are on me.
New cars would have aluminum suspensions before they would have aluminum body panels.
Even a 90 Supra has some aluminum suspension pieces.
I think the AL. car list stops at Z8,A8,NSX, and Ferrari 360.
Some other cars have an aluminum hood but that's it.
Well if you're talking about cars which are only aluminium bodied, your forgetting Aston Martins which are all Al bodied. Old Land Rovers were,AC's (as in AC Cobra).
Aluminium chassied - Lotus Elise, Vauxhall VX220, but fibreglass body.
Audi TT is not aluminum.
It has many aluminum components but the outer panels are not. I just changed a door on one. The entire window regulator mechanism
is a drop in aluminum component that is a sweet design.
I had to repair a Prowler and the chassis is aluminum but since it had no panel damage (rear bumper and mounts were damaged) I didn't even check. I doubt that it is however.
