What gear do you end in for 1/4?

Stock US (5-speed): 45, 81, 114, 144, 186
Japanese "short" gears (5-speed): 40, 65, 90, 124, 166.
Stock US six speed: 46, 72, 99, 126, 155, 168

so: 3rd, 4th, 4th.

In a 5-speed with stock gears, third gear will get you to about 115 MPH. So, 3rd gear.

If you have 5-speed with short gears or 6-speed, you will be in 4th gear.

Bethany: What gear are you in?
Jay: Gear?!

Re: Rephrase the question, please.

On January 4th, I'm still in 1st gear.

Now that I've added my answer, WTF is the question anyway?

still in 3rd (blown and short gears)

I ran a 12.9@ 111 mph if I remember correctly and finished in 3rd  although maybe I was in 4th, I thought It was third. Maybe Im cunfusing times from my short gear-4.23 setup and stock gearing.

Hey Mike, I think you must have been in 4th.

If 3rd gear tops out at 115 MPH on stock gears and stock R&P, it would top out at 101 MPH with short gears and stock R&P (1.23 stock third gear ratio/1.40 short third gear ratio x 115 MPH).

With your short gears and NSX-R R&P, you would top out at 90 MPH in third gear (1.23 stock third gear ratio/1.40 short third gear ratio x 4.06 stock R&P/4.23 NSX-R R&P x 115 MPH).

Here's quick test you can do on the way home: Try hitting 95 MPH in third gear. I'm not responsible for any tickets, though. :)
