F1 Magazine 2003 budgets (Keep in mind these are 2003 figures)

F1 Magazine ran an article in March 2003 in which they admitted that no accurate figures were available due to the secretive nature of the business. However, they said that they had "nagged and cajoled dozens of key team personnel to reveal the odd titbit, after which [they] cross-checked and analyzed [their] findings, then pieced together what [they] believe is the most comprehensive, definitive and accurate guide to F1 costs ever published". Ahhh yes..... Just what I've been searching for all these years.....

The way I see this, the big kicker has got to be Jaguar. They're ranked below most teams in expenditure yet they finished just behind BAR in constructor's points, a big thumbs up to Mark Webber's ability to optimize results with limited resources. Truly a force to be reckoned with. I wish him the best of luck in years to come. :)
And as far as BAR having the 2nd highest driver's salary? Could it have something to do with....er......Mr. "me me me" what's his name?? ;)
:D lol!

Thanks for the info xsn! :)

Actually there's a rumor going around in the paddock that Toyota spend in excess of $600 mil for 2004 (even bigger than Ferrari), according to race commentator Steve Matchett if I remembered correctly.

FYI.

whoa, 600mill??? that's crazy especially for a team that sucks! :D last year they had a hard time with BAR, let alone the top 3 teams. also, this year, their cars aren't that good. =)

i knew that F1 teams spent millions of dollars.. but didn't think it would amount over 250mill. that's just crazy. altho, it is the most recognized racing sport in the world...

also, seeing the salaries for williams.. is that why montoya signed to mclaren next year???

and good find zanardi50, jaguar does do good in the races, especially with the data given.
