What do you tell punk-ass street racer kids?

i did this the other day;

when they start their antics, lean all the way forward towards the steering wheel until your chin almost touches, take both hands and grip the steering wheel really tightly, and get a completely serious look on your face.

they started laughing really hard and gave me a thumbs up.....

I don't condon 'street racing' either. I guess I feel that since they are doing it on a isolated road away from the general public and it is justified in some manner.
I will admit to dropping the hammer on only a couple of cars. One being a C4 driven by a teenager that couldn't hardly keep it on the road and a little Neon turbo that thought he had something for me until I changed from 1-2 gear and had about 3 cars on him. Just backed out and let him go by and waved. I know if I didn't have one and I did see one that I would like to see that owner maybe get on it a little just to wet my appetite. They all appreciate the car but are just curious.

ALL NSX
92 RED/BLACK 5-SPEED

About 10 years ago, I had a Lotus Espirit Turbo. It wasn't until a few months ago when I got my NSX that "it all came back to me."

While I've had a few other sports cars in between, the rarity of the Lotus and NSX seems to bring out the "Jeff Gordon" in everyone driving around it. From Mom's in SUV's to the Yahoo's in pickups, feels like a lot of them drive CRAZY when I'm on the highway. From drivers who don't pay attention to the road because they're trying to get a better look at the car (which also makes them unconsciously drift TOWARDS it) to the 18 year old who wants to show his prowess in lane changing doing triple digit speeds during rush hour, it seems the NSX has the same power as biting into a York Peppermint Patty.

But c'mon, if that is the WORST thing that goes with owning one, so be it. I love the car, and not above admitting (some of)the attention is fun (with the exception of trying to learn the fine art of when to look at someone and when NOT to look).

I enjoy my NSX very much and LOVE to race but I simply won't street race.

Oh yeah, the Lotus? Fortunately I'm ok but I totalled it..........street racing.

for you that live in tampabay you will know the area.several of us 6 total with nsx's went out to gandy to 'eye' the import street scene.we just watched and received alot of attention from the crowd (6nsx's together will do that).the crowd was all over our cars and so many kids were trying to inspect my interior I was concerned about scrathes and what not.at the end of the night the other guys I was with went out to drive some more.as I pulled out onto the shoulder were they line up to race but was our only way out some kid in the crowd yelled.show us what u got rich boy or do you have more money then balls.I just replied.wheres your car?wheres your girl? did you ride out here in somebodys bitch seat?the crowd went wild with laughter.I then gently drove away like grandma.but as to them pulling up at lights and revving on me.I tell them very seriously that I dont street race and my car is not set up for it,if they have have a nice car I complment on it and drive away.strangely I notice alot that many street racer type import cars and domestics avoid pulling right up next to me and stay back a little and oddest of all I will be at a light and do a normal launch and have somebody in a minivan,suv,buick run the shit out of their car.now thats weird!the only exception to this is the guys driving mustangs.thats another thread..oh yeah I do have more guys pull up on me in import cars not to race but tell me how much they like my car,I thank them and return the compliment.
