They are for guiding your windows into the rubbers seals in the doorframe.

Your windows need to be aligned better. There's a procedure for it in the service manual.

I wouldn't know about the Forums Nazi, but I can. It's in the "Body" section. The table of contents for that section will show "Glass Adjustment" under "Doors".
