what are missing in my theft recovery NSX???

I just got a theft recovery NSX and am wondering what else is missing other than the main ECU? I have taken some pictures and they are on this site:

Of course, I asked before. But...

I did ask the guy who sold me the NSX but he never mentioned the ECU is missing and something else on the firewall.

Any suggestion???

From what I can see you are missing from the firewall

1) main relay
2) Cooling fan control unit
3) PGM FI ECU
4) Traction control unit

and possibly more, cant tell what the under dash stuff is, what it the color and pin count of those connectors

AHA I recognise those two wires because they are hanging down in my car also....There is a plastic knee panel that attaches to the underside there on the driver's side and one of the wires goes to the footlight and the other goes to some other unit that attaches to the knee panel--I have not figured what that is yet---I think one of the contacts is blue and the other grey---so someone tell us what that metal piece thingamebob is on the knee panel that connectst to than the footlight (it stays one for a few seconds after entering the car)

Afterthought---no one asked what he paid for the theft recovery --he might have the last laugh

Is it driveable? If it is, i wouldn't worry about the missing parts too much, until you have the time to picks them up from an auto source. The NSX was born to run, and there are very few things that will stop it from doing that.

IT is still sitting in my garage

I got this car about a month ago and it is still sitting inside my garage because I need to gather enough parts first. Then I will send the car to a shop in Daily City, CA to have the engine and tranny installed. I keep spending $$$ to buy parts, and those parts are way too expensive in Acura dealer and very hard to find used ones as well. I will keep everything updated so you know how my car is doing. Hopefully I can drive her by September. Thanks,

Another thought

I took a good look at the service manual I just bought and as a result, I have another option for you...You can either purchase a service manual (I have the 92 Acura manual) or go to the online manual in the FAQ and go to the sections Relay & Control Unit Locations and Connector Identification & Wiring Harness Routing and there are pics showing the parts within the vehicle and their description---that should make it a lot easier to see what components you are missing.

where is the cooling fan unit suppose to mount???

What you mean by the cooling fan unit, is the main relay? I look over and over on the control unit diagram and I don't see where the cooling fan control unit is supposed to be. Any suggestion?

Get the manual

Hchan--you are just now responding to the first reply from Briak? Look at my post and get a manual or see the one in FAQ and then look at page 23-11 or thereabouts depending if all the manuals are exact (I doubt it) and you will see a nice picture showing exactly in the car the Cooling Fan Control Unit can be found---the PGM-FI main relay is to the left of it and to the left of that is the much larger PGM-FI ECU The same page also shows a number of other relays or control units all located on the rear bulkhead....LOOK AT THE MANUAL

HChan, your not missing your TCS (traction control) it is very apparent in your second photo. it is still plugged in, heres the good news,they want 1700 from Acura for it.thats one less thing to scrounge. good luck with the project

PS I dont know what year car you bought but Brad from Auto-logic in Houston has an ECU for sale in the parts for sale forum(ODBI )I believe.he always lists his phone contact and sells parts at a good savings.I would give him a call.

I would like to thanks everyone who helped me to find out what is missing on my NSX, especially thanks BadCarma for his time to take pictures and explained in detail!!!

Now, I know that the only thing missing is the main relay.

No Problem David.

Looking from your pictures, I'm guessing it is Sparco belts. They are a bitch to thread it one more time. But it can be done with patient.
