Is there any trick to disconnecting the wire from the top of the coolant gauge sender? I attempted to pull it straight up, but it doesn't seem to want to budge--and I don't want to break anything. Is this just a straight push-on type of connector?

Thanks in advance.

There is a retaining tang (part of the plastic connector body)you need to squeeze in order to release the connector. Once you depress the tang, a little wiggle will help:)

Are you sure you have the right sensor? The NSX has 3 coolant temp sensors.
One for the gauge, one for the ECU and one for the fans. The one for the fan is a 2 pin connector with a catch, the one for the gauge is a one wire pull off connector and the one for the ecu is a 2 pin conector with a catch.

Thanks, guys. Brian--I'm pretty sure that I have the right one in sight. It's the single wire one . The wire has a rubber hood on the end which connects to the top of the sender. I don't see any plastic clip on this one, but it may be under the rubber protector. I just don't want to pull the wire off of the connector by doing it the wrong way.
