VIP Car Corral/On Track Parade Lap 5/15-5/17/09 - Monterey Festival of Speed

I went there in the PM on Saturday and saw a half dozen other NSX's
parked in the corral. Frankly, maybe it is me, but I do not find these events all that interesting and this will likely be my last.

Sorry to hear this. I came in on Sunday and inspite of the heat, I had a great time. What could be better than hanging out with fellow car enthusiast no matter the make of their vehicle, talking about our prized possession. This event definitely had value. $65.00 for a three day pass including a corral. I would have attended all three days if my schedule permitted. But, even for one day I believe it was definitely worth $65.00.

So, thanks to Yolanda and Jack (even though I know Yolanda did all the work) for making all the arrangements.

Not to let the cat out fo the bag, but I heard from a very reliable source... Jack has decided to keep his NSX.:biggrin::biggrin:

Thanks again Yolanda and Jack. I had a great time and so did my wife. She can't wait to see the picture of her going down the corkscrew.

You guys are great!!

Thanks again to Yolanda and Jack for coordinating this event. Everything went great - much appreciated!

I forgot to mention we were able to do two laps at Laguna Seca.:biggrin::biggrin:

Maybe we will have a better turn out next year.

dan, we are not doing anything the weekend that you are going to be here. I will schedule w/the guys a drive somewhere. and you can ride w/me or one of us(your choice), you got my number. guys, please post some pictures.

Just like to say thanks to Mike, James, Lynn and Jill from the Bay Area Chapter, Dan, Fran (and his neighbor who has an NSX) and Emmett from Monterey and a REALLY BIG (I can't believe these guys) Arnon, Bill, John and Michaela who drove all the way down from Seattle. WOW! To Zonc for letting us participate in their event.
The biggest thanks to Yolanda who basically put this whole thing together on her own with a lot of effort involved. She made some major connections and Laguna Seca was very happy with the turnout. So much so that they rewarded us with a surprise second parade lap just to say thanks.

The Acuras and the Zs looked really good together and everyone seemed to have fun checking out a mixed bag of Datsuns, Nissans and Acuras. Doing all of this and watching the goings on of the racing.

I counted 51 total cars with 10 NSXs. Hopefully we can do it again next year and maybe entice a few more NSXs to the party.

Jack
