Hi Prime,

I'm currently searching for my first NSX and came across a GPW model. Given that it's a 1992 model, I was curious to see that it has a non-black roof. The owner is unable to confirm whether the roof has been repainted. I'd be grateful if any members of the Prime community with knowledge of this specific NSX could share any insights regarding its history.

If this is a US-market NSX, then it's been re-painted. Body-color roof wasn't an option until 1997, I believe. 1991-94 NSXs were only available with the black roof.

I think the one caveat to that rule is that 1994 brooklands green cars had body painted roofs no? But other colors all had black roofs 91-94 so this one has definitely been painted. Paint thickness gauge will tell the whole story.
