New guy in town came over with concerns his whipple was going to lift off to the moon. You know that gravel sound when your engine is Idle'n real low.
We checked out the oil level in Mr. Whipple and topped it slightly up, it was half down on the dip stick.
I asked him what his tach read and it was like 400-500 or so, hard to read it at that low on our tachs.
I said, thats your problem right there, I asked him to rev it up to 850-900 and the noise was gone.
What could cause his engine to run so low rpm.
He states it just happened a while ago that this noise started, so
that must coincide with a drop in rpm for some reason.
I don't have a code reader but we can get one I guess.
Let me know what we should check.
Thanks
Trev
