Vents in side skirts - why?

Right, it could be for a rear brake duct... but is it, typically? Can someone point out an example of someone's street car with functional rear brake ducts?

I have them on my widebody. Both different wheel well liners and ducts to the rotors. Top be honest, even with very spirited street driving, the rear brakes only get marginally warm. On the track however, they do benefit from the cooling ducts quite a bit.

Pics & details please!
Your unit inspired me but not installed quite yet.

I need inlet and exhaust ducting to make this thing efficient though. Sitting in the wheel well like it would otherwise doesn't seem too effective for me. Was even considering putting a fan on there but that's a last resort.

What kind of oil temp improvement have you seen so far btw? Are you able to stay under say.. 230-240F?

I'm sure it's helping but unfortunately I have not installed an oil temp gauge yet. It's on the top of my to-do list. Keep us posted on your progress.
