Well I did my first NSX valve adjustment today....not too hard actually. Saved myself over $500! Easily worth it. The back bank is a bit of a pain, but still not that bad.
I did a compression check too after I finished up. I warmed the car up, pulled all the plugs and cranked it over with the throttle wide open. I read though on here afterwards that I should have pulled the fuel pump relay.
My results were:
#1-241
#2-239
#3-240
#4-234
#5-240
#6-240
Looking at this, it seems my results are sky high...is this because I didn't pull the fuel pump relay? I guess I might have to do it again.

I don't think so. Your reading may have been biased by a too optimistic gauge. But anyhow your results are excellent.

Should be ok.
Now get back in there and finish those signal covers.

Haha, there is no hiding from you on these boards! I swear it's the supplier that is rediculously slow....not me. I have everything all ready here to assemble and ship them once I actually get them.

Could be...seems that I was reading that 160 was a normal reading. So mine seems really high, but at any rate I guess what you are supposed to be looking for is any big variance in the cylinders...seems like mine are pretty even.

Nominal new compression is 199 psi. I think fuel in the cylinder would be more likely to lower results than raise them. Grouping looks very good, though interesting #4 is anomalous, relatively speaking.

From the SM 3-2

Normal: 199 psi
Minimal: 142 psi
Max. variation: 28 psi

So, your engine is in very good condition. Don't bother about the -7 psi of cyl #4.

EDIT: Daedalus has been faster...:)
