Why does Acura charge a $6k premium for these two colors? Is there any difference in number of coats applied, paint quality, etc to justify such a steep price premium? I could understand the $700 charge for the silver, casino white, etc PEARL colors over the flat colors (curva and 130r white), but $6K??? I'm at the Acura dealership right now looking at a TLX in Still Night Pearl (blue), and it looks great! It still has the pearls in the paint. Closer inspection reveals that perhaps it may not have as many "flakes" like the Nouvelle Blue in the NSX, but it is close and looks awesome. There's also no surcharge for this paint color on the TLX. I wouldn't mind this color on the NSX for $700.
Anyways, just curious as to why Acura charges so much for these two colors. I guess since it's an NSX, they feel they can justify the premium up-charge.
