I am going to try and get a sound clip of the generic cans on a highly modified Beetle. However, do you think my 1776 w/ pee shooters would benefit much from a Burns system versus the chambers?

Absolutely yes. Anything that decreases backpressure in a turbo setup will help. The Burns setup doesn't have cats either.
