Ben probably shouldn't have done this on a Public Forum - Not because it's "not" true, but lack of "Professionalism." I'm sure we deal with cheap people from time to time when we put things up for sell.

BUT guess what? He is right for the most part. Every time I put some up for sell, I get plenty of people who want things for free; not every one, but a big chunk. Some times it is rather insulting. That said, I’m sure you get people like that in every car forum, it’s just human nature.

Ben is no saint, I've met him, I have spoken to him, and he should make a public apology.

OK it may be time for me to tell this story. I bought an R hood from DF. Without a test fit, I painted it. After install, the fit wasn't to my liking. Perhaps I was too anal. I don't know. I contacted Ben and he offered a full refund. He also made up for my shipping costs and painting by giving me a deal on another part. I think that was pretty good customer service. I don't know if anyone else would have given me a full refund, let alone make up for my painting and shipping costs.

I don't know how Ben really feels, and I am not sure it matters. I am sure his work is difficult sometimes. It's not going to keep me from buying from him again. What matters is how professional he has been to me during and after sales.
 
Have to disagree with him there......... I would say most of the NSX owners are very nice people.

Maybe he just met one of the bad apples.....but still doesn't give him the right to say all or most.
 
I have purchased items from Ben three different times and even spoke with him for a few minutes. He has always been very nice and helpful. It is disappointing to hear him generalize us all this way just because we drive a NSX.

If you're a vendor, you shouldn't be calling your primary targets names.

I would do the same thing like he did try to protect the online-business but heck, dont know what he'll saying behind your back.
I bought some stuffs from him too, fitting sucks-refund the parts and after many many phone calls and emails then I got my refunds 5 months later :confused:

I had planned on spending a LOT of money with DF in the future on several exterior parts for my NSX. I'm rethinking that now. :mad:
 
I'll definitely rethink about buying from DF again, I've talked to ben and he seems like a pretty cool guy but after this...I don't know what to think!!:confused:
 
wow talk about proper business practice. Guess some of us NSX pricks should keep that in mind when calling upon DF products. Every NSX owner i have come across has been a pleasure to be around with. Let alone all the products i have sold on Prime. I never encountered any pricks of this nature. All have been outstanding transactions. How can you post something like that on a public forum and think ikt will not get back to its directed attack?
 
God I wish someone would have told me about NSX owners sooner so I could be even more pleased with the 100's and 100's of wonderful transactions I have had to endure.

I've never done business with DF, nor have I ever had a desire for any of their products. But because of this I'll certainly never even entertain purchasing anything from this company. Even if Ben offers good prices, prompt delivery and good products, I just can't justify supporting a company that would say something like that behind its customer's backs. Every company has to deal with customers in one way or another; it's part of doing business. And I'm sure every business has spoken, or does speak ill of some of their customers, but a decent company would never do so publicly and/or to other customers. It's just bad business.

Wow. I'm sure Peter is horrified by the above statements. I rec'd great customer service and great product from DF and I know there are some owners that are truly "brown starfish" but this...is...well...a good object lesson.:frown:
 
Ive purchased a few things from Ben and Ive been very happy. IMO, he has gone beyond what was required to make sure I was happy (engine cover hinges for targa car for example).

I dont know that Ben wrote that. I dont know if he was having a bad day and lost his mind for the seconds that it takes to type that out, but I do know that he has sold tons of NSX parts to all kinds of people here. Surely he knows what an "NSX owner" is like; seems odd that he is asking if this one guy is typical of the hundreds of us he has already dealt with.

I say he didnt write that, or maybe he had transient torrets syndrome.
 
Man, pretty shity thing to say..
I won't be spending any of my money with a company that feels that way about their customers....
 
We all have our bad days but to take it out on NSX owners as a whole is rediculous. I do feel bad for Peter as he went above and beyond the call of duty to get my parts.
