Two Exotics Totaled in Highland Park

I wouldn't call driving a pure-bred race car in snow "driving properly", but that's another issue altogether. ;)

Don't go saying stuff like that!!...they will say that your car is a "Garage Queen" and when you die they are gonna come buy it and rough it up!!

I second that is not true, if the two car hit each other, there should have paint traded, didn't see that in both pictures.

But anyway, if it's true, I want Rebecca's number, umm, Courtney's would be fine too. I'll show how to "properly" abuse their daddy's fine automobiles. :)

Though I don't think the story is true, but it could happen, one of the reason I hate all the super cars are paddle shift and all intended to let monkeys driving it with ease...

This is a really old story with no reliable source to verify if it is true or not. Just the fact that it says the Enzo is the new offering from Ferrari should tell you something about the date of this article.

It's a fake story. It's been discussed and refuted on multiple forums. The names don't match the information given, and it's next to impossible to fit 5 people in those 2 cars. Probably written like a story on the Onion, to point out how the wealthy little brats act in HP. Plus, just look at the pics - it's obvious those 2 cars didn't hit eachother.

Bad Parenting is a cause of this and other dumb things kids do....

I have to much respect/fear to ever do anything that would be someone eles's life in danger. Before I do anything....I always think, "what would my parents think". Just my thoughts.

What's the big difference between this event and the Maserati MC12 in the snow thread?

Yeah like this guy...his Money! His Car! ..would you let your kids drive it after drivers training??

you guys are hillarious...

here are 3 minor  differences that come to mind...

#1-MC12: experienced adult Lambo/Enzo: inexerienced teenagers
#2-MC12: on a track (safe) Lambo/Enzo: on the street
#3-MC12: legal activity Lambo/Enzo: illegal activity
#4-MC12: full knowledge of consequences Lambo/Enzo: well, you know if you have teenagers...

If the MC12 driver was a teenager kid whose parent had left do the same thing, that would be irresponsible at most. But if that was their decision, fine...

This case is completely different than the MC12 thread.

But even if it's not true we here at NSX Prime can use it as arguing fodder!!

lol at that but hearing the story even knowing it was fake once i saw the pictures mad me so sad... i had seen that picture on that site before though and remember the story they had behind it as well.

thanks for the laugh tho lahntech raised my spirits after seeing those amazing cars in that condition.

The owner of this vehicle had the car for less than 1 hour before he wrecked it. The first thing he did was go back to the dealership and order another one. [/i]

Where can you go to a dealership and order an Enzo?

I thought you had to be invited to buy one.

The biggest difference

MC12 : he paid for / Lambo enzo : The kids did not pay for them

Similarlty:

MC12 : stupid and deserve the consequence /Lambo Enzo : stupid and sadly deserve the consequence.

Highland Park is one of the most, if not the most expensive areas of Dallas to live in.
Highland Park in LA is quite the opposite of that!

Highland Park, Illinois is a town of 31,365 located on Lake Michigan 25 miles north of downtown Chicago. It is fairly affluent, although some other towns in the Chicago area are even more so. In the annual survey of average home prices in the October issue of Chicago magazine, it ranked 17th highest of the 200 suburbs listed.

Can we stop talking about this story as if it's true? It's already shown to be a fiction, with pictures lifted from wreckedexotics.com. Any comparisons with the snowbound MC12 are irrelevant.

nsxtasy has the proof that it's true, but it's in the same file as the Roswell alien crash UFO files, so the truth will never be revealed.

In fact, snopes once published this as true, and for fear of contradicting nsxtasy's public stance that this is false, they quickly deleted the story.

After hearing of nsxtasy's public denial of this story, the three teenage girls involved in the crash legally changed their names, and went into the witness protection program. The insurance adjusters for both wrecked cars were found dead under mysterious circumstances. One insurance adjuster left a suicide note that his last file was a fraud, and hanged himself to hide the evidence. The other insurance adjuster was cutting out the check, suffered a massive heart attack while smoking in the office, which resulted in him accidentally setting fire to the entire office, thus destroying any other evidence of the accident.

Apparently it's not, because I can't find anything about it after searching various big news websites. It appears to be one of those urban legends that someone made up, with both photos copied from wreckedexotics.com.

Here's what that site says about the Enzo photo:

Car:
2003 Ferrari Enzo

Description:
With only 353 miles on the odometer, this Enzo sustained approximately $400,000 in damages. Rumor suggests that this car was being driven by the owner's son. The owner apparently owns a huge RV manufacturing company or dealership. This is actually the 2nd Enzo to be wrecked. A yellow Enzo holds the honors as the first wreck (we're trying to get pictures of that one!)

Location:
Tampa, Florida

Ken is correct - the Enzo pictured belonged to Don Wallace, former owner of Lazy Days RV Center of Seffner, Fl.

Highland Park, Los Angeles, has an average rainfall of 15.8” Wow.

I saw a UFO the other day. I was driving my car when it came over the hill in the opposite direction as me. Was red. Looked like a Corvette.
