Hey Omar,

Does Neetronic have a lot of experience with the aem ems? Have you thought of taking her to Devin of aem over the river in detroit?

I need to get mine tuned as well, but my car won't be near ready by April 16th... :(

I know Alan and Paul there, my friend had most of his work on his RSX Type S Turbo done there and he is also waiting for the dyno to go up so they can tune his. Shooting for 700WHP...

Hey! I didn't get a chance to ask you on Friday - Did you get your stuff in?
How did it go?

Can't wait to see it. Had to leave Stu's place early so we didn't get to talk too much. I'd love to see the AEM being tuned... I wonder if they are using the new Tuner Software (beta) or the old PRO software.

I'm familiar with the PRO software but not the new Tuner software. I've just started messing around with AEM as I have it in my daily driver (Accord with H23A VTEC swap).

Tuning on the Dyno is pretty straight forward. Ask them how they will tune cold starts. I suspect they will will try it 2 or 3 times a day until it's right.

Are you leaving your emisisons equipment on? If you can, leave it on. I was able to tune my car to pass emission legitimately but you must have an EGR...

Not sure all the details. I'm heading down to Neetronics April 18 which is a Wednesday. Mario had his Basch Boost NSX there getting tuned. So he has experience with NSX's. I will be sending out an e-mail to confirm the day via e-mail.

Hope to see you there!!!

It will take maybe a day or two. The just car just went down today via trailer. Reason being is that the ECU would not recognize the base tune. So we couldn't start it. The only available time for the trailer was literally now so it had to go down ASAP for the tuner to figure out the issue. i will keep you posted but for now I am planning on heading over there on friday around lunch time. The car is on its way there right now.

If you guys wanna meet up on friday, give me a shout. 416-220-4201

Regards

Just got a call from Omey. His car has been tuned and he told me to post the info so that you can go out there and check it out. Have your tuning questions answered.....

Good news and bad news. Good news is that the car is tuning well. Bad news is the noc sensor keeps kicking in at certain points and its cutting off the timing. The tuner said that is maybe the lost motion assembly, but not exactly sure. I called the dealer and he said bring it in. Once this issue is figured out he will tune it better. Other then that the car is crazy loud when in boost, and the feeling of the turbo spooling is like no other.

Cant wait to see this. My car is right beside Johnnys at Erin Mills right now.

On my work order I specified to move Johnnys brakes to my car and swap mine to Johnnys. THANKS JOHNNY.

Johnny has enough trouble getting the car moving forward. He doesnt need any help stopping it.

Sounds good Omar. Turbos are amazing devices, and I miss my old boosted car.

Keep us posted.

Right now its air/fuel is at 11:5, 12-13 degrees for timing, and we are not even using half the potential of the 750cc injectors. Once this noc issue is resolved we will have a little weapon.......

Hows the internals built in your car? I hope you're not planning to run max capacity on those injectors on stock internals ;)

are you going the aem or engine management? the numbers look great. This is HP's kit right? Are you happy with the setup and feel that boosting at low levels on stock internals will be ok?

I think that Omar should be fine on stock internals below 400whp. That seems to be the magical number beyond which you need to consider more things.

we will push 425-450whp once the lost motion issue is taken care of. Right now we are at 8 - 9.3psi and we can go up to 12. I think I may stick with 9 -10 psi because it would be safe.

Paul said the blocks are strong but his other concern is the pistons. We won't push it to the limits. With regards to his tuning, I was there from about 6:30 to about 11pm. He spends alot of time making sure everything on the motor is correct, timing is good, looks for leaks, basically making sure everything is OK before putting in boost. Lengthy process, but it gives you peace of mind....

Can't wait to check this out in person!

Dave/Johnny: Both of you guys have your cars at Erin Mills right now? I just pulled my car out again today... I should drop it off for spring refresh at Erin Mills too. I need new rears, my car was a little unstable this morning. Do we have a club discount set up for tires with anyone?

That is pushing it Omar. I would speak with Dynomike, Devin, Chris, Larry, Armando, Lowel, etc...

Its not a matter of tuning, the internals are not strong enough to handle 400whp+ with a safety margin. Consider what happens if you bust stuff in there - people are finding it a nightmare to replace parts on a 3L. People are starting to stock spare bits just in case. If you bust something in there, you may not be able to replace it.

Yes, dropped mine off this AM. Johnnys getting his timing belt done and he is moving his brakes to my car.

Call Jeff Wenzel at Tirecraft 905 760 1130. Tell him youre a close friend of Stu's. I had the best ever tire experience via Jeff. Im going back to him FORSURE.

It is for everything...NSX tires may not be instock
