My buddy Edo has a 91 NSX. From the looks of his trunk- I don't think a set of clubs will fit. I could be wrong though.
Maybe you could lay the irons flat, put the woods in the passenger seat, and put the balls in the glove box. Ha!
Golf clubs fit in just fine and still room for other stuff. Do not fear the trunk space. It has a whole 5 cu. ft.
I'd put my clubs in and go to the course, but I would never leave it in a parking lot, so.........I guess the other car gets to go.
Smaller bags will fit, in fact two smaller bags will fit. A huge cart bag with 10 sleeves of balls, a built-in cooler, an extra pair of shoes, etc. will not.
If you install a CD player or phone in the trunk you will lose some space.
I tried fitting golf clubs in the trunk of the car today after reading this post. its do-able..but not exactly *comfortable* in my opinion. Maybe I'm just afraid of the clubs smacking part of the car...
But, if you are bent on putting clubs in the back, it IS possible..
One of the conditions on getting my car was it had to fit a set of clubs. So the deal is I drive my wife to courses and drop her off to play with other women. While she's playing I drive my car! Works out pretty well as I alway plan trips that take us through some nice areas to drive an NSX.
Provided you're not toting around Rodney Dangerfield, sure they'll fit. Get yourself one of the bags with the collapsable legs that allow the bag to stand on the ground (low weight for carrying around the course!). This will fit in the trunk real nice, with room to spare to put a blanket between the club heads and the fender.
Fitting 2 sets of clubs in the trunk was a pre-requisite in purchasing my car. What better way to spend a day than an hour drive to and from the course on a twisty mountain road combined with a round in the 70’s? I fit 2 sets of clubs (carry bags vs. tour bags) plus shoes, etc. My driver is longer than standard (Titleist 975d) and it also fits fine. Key point, my car DOES NOT have a changer. If it did, I can imagine having to take the woods out of the bags and place them in individually.
