transmission oil leak question

It looks like transmission oil is leaking from where the
passenger side drive shaft comes out of the transmission.

I had the clutch replaced recently. It was not leaking before
I had the clutch done.

Is a leak at this location likely to be due to a botched job and
thus worth asking the shop if they will warranty it, or are these
things just prone to leaking after a certain age?
It is a 1995 NSX with 88,000 miles.

If the repair is going to be at my expense, can anyone say
what a fair price to expect would be?

thanks in advance for any tips.

I'm pretty sure it's due to the clutch job. Fidling in the axle and NOT damaging the seal is a critical task here.

Anyway, I don't understand why they didn't replace the seals anyway while being there. I normally change the bigger seal behind the flywheel as well.

Sounds like the shop that did the clutch install tore the axle shaft oil seal. It is very easy to do. They should replace it free of charge.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies.

I suspect they also didn't preserve the rear
alignment when they did the clutch job (rear
tires wore out much faster than usual).

I don't know if I even want the same shop to
try to make it right. I live in a remote rural area
and taking it back is not simple. I was elsewhere
in the state on business when I had the work done
(It was a shop with lots of NSX experience that
I took it to... sigh.)

I may just pay someone else to fix it to have
peace of mind that it will be done right.
