Another common problem fixed! The OEM oil pressure sending unit often fails. It can cause a messy oil leak and it can be the source of an incorrect oil pressure reading. In my case, I had both.
My oil pressure would be fine at cold start, but the moment I would drive around and get up to temp, my oil pressure would show zero at idle. Obviously this is scary if you don't know this is a common issue with NSX's. That's not to say you should always expect an incorrect oil pressure reading to mean your engine is ok, but most of us have had this issue for years and just brushed it off as the new normal.
Yes, I have used the SOS relocated sending unit and that was what was removed in favor of another OEM unit. Check out the video if you are interested in what it takes to replace it. All part numbers are listed in the video description.
