track pad life?

I go through a set of Carbotech PP every 6 track days or so, but for some reason my last set were close to finished after only 2 events (with no other changes). I will be calling Carbotech about this, but I was curious how long peoples' racing brake pads usually last. How many track days do you typically get out of a set? BBK users would be interesting to hear from too. Thanks.

sounds about right. At first a PP set would last me 4 events. Then 2 (if they didn't cook throughout a session).. I just stepped up to the XP and now i'm back to 4 again.

My PP's last from 2 to 4 events depending on the tracks driven. BTW, I have Brembo Indys on the front.

Thanks guys. I called Carbotech and they said nothing has changed with the panther plus, so the quicker wear must be something I caused (not enough cool down, more agressive action, etc). I'll be trying out the XP8's.

You guys slow down way too much

I get half a season out of my Panther Plus pads, but then again I have a stock brake setup

Plus, I have the best rotor/cooling setup for stock, which I am sure helps.

Then again, when a great race driver was asked how the reporter could make lap times similar to his (the race driver), he replied.....brake less
