Honda did it for a reason.
(Draws attention to the long rear section.)
The only reason they went to solid colors is when the T top came out,
(It looked cheesy in 2 tone with the top off)

Not quite true, though.

Wasn't the body-colored roof available for the '94 model year? I know Brooklands Green could be had with a green roof for MY94, just not sure about the other colors.

Looks just fine. The photo has been compressed, which is why the red doesn't seem quite right.

Painting the roof will not resolve that issue.

Look at my NSX, which has a beautiful black roof. I wouldn't change it at all!
