just to be clear shock length and spring length should be matched with damping and rebound force to work as a unit to keep the tire on the ground as much as possible as the car vibrates/yaws/wallows ect at speed.The ground/fender -wheel clearance is not an absolute....just look at any racing car in grand-am or koni series,they are pretty flush and about as low as you could imagine yet they don't tear thier own fenders off because the suspension is set to deliver mm of spring compression not cm.
I'm still debating. LOL... I like the OEM so much. I'll probably buy a set of advans and try it out and see how I like them. If I didn't like them Socold "bottom-feeder" 57 is sitting there licking his chops for a deal. LOL
